A Day in the Life

The Senior Scrum Master is an independent contributor responsible for enabling effective Agile delivery by facilitating Scrum practices, supporting team execution, and ensuring alignment with organizational priorities. This role partners closely with Product Owners, stakeholders, and delivery teams to drive predictable outcomes, manage risks and dependencies, and foster continuous improvement. The Senior Scrum Master operates with ownership of defined workstreams, promotes Agile maturity, and ensures consistent application of OST delivery standards to achieve high-quality results.
  • Manages one or more Scrum team independently, ensuring effective execution of assigned
    workstreams.
  • Facilitates Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and
    retrospectives.
  • Partners with Product Owners to support backlog refinement, prioritization, and readiness for
    sprint execution.
  • Identifies, tracks, and proactively mitigates risks, dependencies, and impediments impacting
    delivery.
  • Ensures alignment of team activities with OST delivery standards, governance, and organizational
    priorities.
  • Monitors team performance using Agile metrics and supports data-driven decision making.
  • Collaborates regularly with stakeholders to clarify needs, communicate progress, and ensure
    alignment.
  • Maintains delivery artifacts and documentation to ensure transparency and auditability of work.
  • Drives continuous improvement through retrospectives, feedback loops, and process
    enhancements.
  • Supports consistent application of Agile methodologies, tools, and templates across delivery
    teams.
  • Contributes to problem solving by applying experience to resolve defined and emerging delivery
    challenges.
  • Influences team effectiveness by promoting accountability, collaboration, and delivery discipline.
  • Mentors and supports junior team members in developing Agile and delivery capabilities.
  • Ensures timely and accurate performance on assigned projects.
  • Maintains compliance with project budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines.

Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, or a related field required, equivalent years of professional experience also acceptable.
  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience in Agile delivery environments.
  • Experience working on Scrum teams with responsibility for facilitation, coordination, or delivery
  • Exposure to cross-functional teams delivering technology or business initiatives preferred
  • Agile or Scrum certification (e.g., CSM, PSM, SAFe) SAFe / ART experience preferred
  • Agile certification required
  • Led enterprise programs lasting 12-18+ months
  • Experience managing budget burn, velocity, risks, and dependencies
  • Strong understanding of Agile values, principles, Scrum, and OST delivery methodologies.
  • Ability to independently manage workstreams and deliver assigned outcomes.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
  • Ability to identify, assess, and manage risks, dependencies, and impediments.
  • Proficiency in Agile metrics and reporting to support transparency and data-driven decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to evaluate trade-offs within defined scope.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple delivery activities.
  • Ability to influence without authority and foster team accountability.
  • Experience maintaining delivery artifacts and ensuring adherence to established standards.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, learning agility, and process enhancement.
  • Mentorship skills to support the development of junior team members.

Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.

Compensation

$105,000 - $135,000. Our compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay. Eide Bailly complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying ranges. Final compensation decisions are dependent upon factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
