  • Serve as the primary commercial lead for assigned categories, building long-term sourcing strategies, strengthening supplier relationships, and identifying opportunities to create business value.
  • Conduct market intelligence, supplier evaluations, cost modeling, and pricing analyses to manage risk, improve competitiveness, and support informed sourcing decisions.
  • Lead complex sourcing and contracting activities, including supplier prequalification, RFx development, commercial evaluations, negotiations, contract awards, and execution.
  • Partner with Capital Projects, Engineering, Construction, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver sourcing and contracting solutions that support project schedules, budgets, and operational goals.
  • Manage contract and supplier performance throughout the contract lifecycle, including KPI monitoring, change management, dispute resolution, claims management, and contract closeout activities.
  • Ensure commercial activities comply with company policies, governance requirements, and industry standards while maintaining accurate contract documentation and records.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship across the SCM team while supporting broader supply chain initiatives, supplier relationship management programs, performance reporting, and continuous improvement efforts

Who you are:

  • Post-secondary degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Commerce, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and are legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, strategic sourcing, category management, procurement, contract management, or related commercial roles.
  • Proven experience developing and executing category strategies, leading complex sourcing initiatives, negotiating commercial agreements, and managing supplier relationships.
  • Experience supporting capital projects and managed contracts related to engineering services, fabrication, construction, industrial services, or similar categories.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with experience leveraging data analysis and reporting to drive informed decision-making and value creation.
  • Solid understanding of sourcing, contracting, supplier management lifecycles, Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, and governance principles.
