Full Job Description
Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Scientist of Immunology with expertise in T cell biology and in vivo CAR-T therapy development to join our therapeutic discovery team. The candidate will focus on strategic planning and hands-on benchwork using in vitro and ex vivo experimental approaches. This position requires scientific and technical expertise, and experience with pre-clinical disease models, scientific curiosity, and the desire to overcome scientific challenges and drive excellence. This individual will have the opportunity to be a major contributor to our lead program and work in a dynamic and fast-paced entrepreneurial environment as part of a highly collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to and lead scientific strategies of independent projects or workstreams within a program
  • Independently design and execute complex in vitro assays to evaluate CAR-T cell function, including multi-color flow cytometry, cytotoxicity assays and other functional readouts
  • Independently design and execute in vivo studies, including humanized mice and NHPs and conduct ex vivo analysis of immune cells. Interact with CROs or academic collaborators for in vivo study related activities
  • Develop, optimize and troubleshoot experimental protocols, and maintain accurate and timely electronic laboratory notebook records
  • Analyze, interpret and communicate experimental data at lab and project team meetings
  • Comfortable working both as an independent contributor and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team of scientists

Qualifications:
  • PhD. in Immunology or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience, industry experience preferred. Title will be commensurate with experience
  • Deep expertise in flow cytometry, including panel design, instrument setup, and data analysis
  • Experience handing primary T cells, human PBMC, and associated assays to determine T cell function and phenotype
  • Experience with mouse models and ex vivo tissue processing and analyses. Experience in humanized mouse models and NHP ex vivo analyses is preferred
  • Experience with in in vivo CAR-T is strongly preferred
  • Experience with non-viral delivery technologies and nucleic acid modalities is preferred
  • Highly motivated to execute at the bench, exceptional organizational, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills


We are seeking individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit, strong communication skills, and comfort in working in and contributing to a dynamic and cross-functional team environment. The level of the role will be commensurate with the education and years of experience of the identified candidates.

The salary range for this role is $126,000 - $181,500. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
