Full Job Description
We are seeking a talented Senior Engineer I, Digital Solutions to join our team and take charge of designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge industrial automation software solutions. As a Senior Engineer I, Digital Solutions, you will be responsible for creating robust and scalable software architectures that meet the specific needs of our clients and drive innovation in the industrial automation space.

The ideal candidate is familiar with systems integration using a variety of technologies. A motivated and self-driven candidate with a background in a variety of industrial automation technologies will be the best fit. What will you do?
  • Design and develop SCADA systems using various software suites, including AVEVA (Wonderware) System Platform, AVEVA (Wonderware) Historian, AVEVA (OSI) PI, Schneider Electric Geo SCADA, Ignition SCADA, etc.
  • Configure and program SCADA software to monitor and control various industrial processes, such as manufacturing, energy, mining, and utilities.
  • Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand system requirements and develop solutions that align with their needs.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot SCADA software and related components such as PLCs, ensuring proper integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Integrate SCADA systems with historians (e.g., AVEVA PI, AVEVA Historian) for data acquisition, analysis, and reporting purposes.
  • Develop custom scripts using scripting languages (e.g., .NET, JavaScript, Python, VBScript, etc.) to enhance system functionality and performance.
  • Conduct system testing and commissioning to ensure the accurate functioning of SCADA systems, addressing any issues or discrepancies that arise.
  • Perform system upgrades and modifications, adhering to industry best practices and ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, troubleshooting system issues, and offering timely resolutions.
  • Participate in training to stay updated with the latest advancements and trends in SCADA technologies.


What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
  • Proven experience as a SCADA Engineer, with a focus on AVEVA System Platform, AVEVA PI, Schneider Electric Geo SCADA, and Ignition SCADA.
  • Expertise with various SCADA architectures, data modeling, and integration with other PLC/RTU/SCADA systems.
  • Experience with identifying and implementing automation to improve user experience (UX).
  • Experience with system integration using a variety of data access, including OPC DA/UA, Modbus, DNP3, JSON, REST, and XML.
  • Ability to set up SQL databases to capture data streams and create custom SQL queries.
  • Create or modify PLC programs using Structured Text, Function Block Diagrams, and Ladder Logic.
  • Experience with self-managing multiple project priorities and deliverables.
  • Experience creating and modifying SCADA/HMI screens, alarms, and reports.

Travel: Willingness to travel to customer sites as required. Travel is roughly expected to be around 25% but is dependent on customer and project needs.

This position may require presence at customer sites, and as such, the candidate must be able to obtain necessary clearance and/or credentials to travel abroad and comply with customer requirements for executing work on their site. The credentials that might be required include passports, Homeland Security clearance, drug and alcohol, background, and credit checks, etc.

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 101,600 - USD 152,400 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
