Full Job Description
Position Summary:

The Senior Salesforce Developer is responsible for maintaining, growing, and continuously improving GLIDE's Salesforce ecosystem, including platform maintenance, enterprise-wide workflow automation, and data system integrations to support data dashboards/business intelligence for continuous improvement. This is a highly technical, hands-on role. The ideal candidate is a strong workflow automation analyst and builder with a proven track record of success as a Salesforce platform, workflow, or integration engineer. This position is essential to leading GLIDE's technology infrastructure innovations.

Essentials Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the portfolio manager and lead administrator of GLIDE's Salesforce Ecosystem (platform, workflows, integrations, data governance); drive system security, monitoring, performance, scalability, and continuous improvement; lead GLIDE's Salesforce team.
  • Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Salesforce solutions, including workflow analysis, automation improvements, and optimization; serve as project manager for approved initiatives.
  • Build, maintain, and continuously improve workflow automation, efficiency, and interoperability across programs and reporting; serve as project manager for upgrades and new workflow implementations.
  • Translate manual and/or low-tech processes into scalable, efficiently automated solutions; evaluate and refactor legacy configurations and automations. Perform data mapping, transformation, and migration.
  • Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and other systems. Build and manage API integrations using REST services, webhooks, and middleware tools; ensure secure, reliable integrations with proper authentication and error handling.
  • Manage data synchronization strategies and system-of-record definitions; develop and maintain scalable data models; develop and enforce data governance.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and proper workflow/project documentation. Customize Salesforce applications and implement complex workflows. Develop/maintain Apex test classes for system reliability.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues; identify and reduce technical debt through continuous improvement.
  • Advise leadership using written, executive-ready one-pagers and proposals; provide technical guidance to staff and vendors; manage vendor relationships and oversee vendor projects.
  • Stay current with Salesforce platform updates and integration best practices.
  • Support occasional evening or weekend work for deployments or critical issues.


Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of Salesforce experience with workflow automation and integrations.
  • Expert workflow analysis and salesforce automation skills.
  • Excellent project manager & technology builder with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, strategically plan and implement projects on-time and on-budget; excellent project management, stakeholder engagement, and documentation.
  • Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonalskills; staff mentor.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills. Ability toestablishand maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
  • Highly self-motivated and self-directed; ability to work both independently and collaboratively, applying sound analytical judgment in all contexts.
  • Experience with Salesforce Flow and Apex development; experience building API integrations (REST).
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and system architecture, commitment to data governance, KPI reporting, systems documentation, and version control.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven environments.
  • Experience with enterprise-wide software system upgrades.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud (NPC)/Agentforce and/or Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP).
  • Experience with Lightning Web Components (LWC) and JavaScript, middleware tools (MuleSoft, Workato, Zapier), and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Salesforce certifications strongly preferred.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work on a computer and see details of objects at close range.
  • Ability to hear within normal range, and communicate effectively (in person, telephone or Zoom).
  • Finger dexterity and the ability to use all standard office equipment.
  • Sit or stand comfortably; and the ability to navigate throughout office spaces (via elevator or stairs).


$110,000 - $120,000 a year

This is a full-time (40 hour/week), Exempt position. This role is onsite 4-5 days/week.
