As our new Senior Sales Engineer, Commercial Building Services, you will be maintaining, building, and developing key relationships with wholesalers, contractors, and consultant engineers across British Columbia, with a focus on the Greater Vancouver Metropolitan area, to secure and grow profitable business for Grundfos Canada.

What you will be doing

As a key part of the Commercial Building Services Sales team, you'll create impact by driving revenue growth and strengthening Grundfos's market position by delivering technical expertise and tailored solutions to key stakeholders across the commercial building services segment.

Your main responsibilities include:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies and budgets for the BC region, monitoring KPIs and taking corrective actions to meet or exceed targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, project owners, engineering contractors, consulting firms, and design institutes.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities while maintaining a significant project pipeline.
  • Provide technical support, solutions, and presentations to consultants, contractors, and dealers, including new product launches.
  • Support tender processes and contract negotiations, working through dealers or directly on technical submissions.
  • Maintain an accurate CRM database to support full customer management and sales reporting.


What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a results-driven technical sales professional with strong relationship-building skills, knowledge of HVAC or commercial building systems, and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. We would also imagine that you have:
  • 5+ years of technical sales experience in commercial building services, HVAC, or a related mechanical/engineering industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders including consultants, contractors, and wholesalers.
  • Experience in effectively handling the delivery of multiple medium complexity projects at the same time.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly within British Columbia.

It is a plus if you also:
  • Experience with pump systems, hydronic systems, or water technology solutions.
  • Established network of contacts in the Greater Vancouver commercial building services market.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Experience with project management systems and tools, e.g. Prince and SAP PS.

The salary range for this position is $85,100 to $128,715. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate's profile. The range listed is just one component of Grundfos's total compensation and benefits package for employees. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, and employee stock purchase programs, etc. Certain roles are eligible to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization.

Grundfos salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in Vancouver, BC.
