Full Job Description
Position Overview

The Senior Sales Consultant, Southwest Bus Region is a senior, dealer-facing sales leader responsible for growing IC Bus retail market share.

The role focuses on retail sales management execution, strategic account leadership, and solution selling, rather than direct people management.

This role acts as a bridge between IC Bus and the dealer, clearly representing both the Voice of the Dealer and the Voice of the Customer, while driving disciplined execution of sales strategies and processes.

The candidate will reside in the Midwest/Southwest area and will visit dealers within that territory.

75% travel and the use of a company car.

Responsibilities

  • Own retail sales results and market share growth in assigned territory. Responsible for achieving assigned goals in your retail market.
  • Lead retail sales management execution in partnership with your assigned dealer(s) and sales personnel (including but not limited to forecasting, maintaining process rigor & consistency, etc.)
  • Co develop & execute strategic account plans with dealer leadership - which may include retail sales penetration plans, market share growth, retail sales management territory realignment or call plans, solution selling, etc.
  • Drive solution selling, not just transactional sales. This role is about much more than just the 'vehicle' sale, excelling in consultative selling tactics and effectively driving solution sales approaches through the dealer sales team behavior.
  • Enable dealer sales teams through training, tools, and policy education. Effective communication skills are a requirement for the success of this role.
  • Ensure deal accuracy and execution with CSA, Finance, Accounting, etc. Working hand-in-hand with your dealer counterparts on SPA support, as well as other various solution elements on the deal construct. While dealers own the end-customer relationship on retail accounts, this role owns the IC Bus piece of that support and ensuring accuracy and execution on the OEM piece(s) are key to success.
  • Communicate crisply and professionally, including both internal and external communication skills. Concise, timely communication is key.
  • Strategy development & planning with strong data and analytics acumen; ability to interpret reports, identify trends, and translate insights into opportunities with assigned dealers.
  • Training and Cascading of information with your assigned dealer personnel - ensuring they have & understand the latest and greatest information relevant to their market and International solutions (products + services). This includes partnering with the dealer on onboarding new hires & further developing their sales leaders.
  • Maintain a Customer First approach, keeping their voice and needs at the center of what the dealer(s) and IC Bus do.
