Senior SailPoint Subject Matter Expert

BruckEdwards is seeking an experienced Senior SailPoint Subject Matter Expert (SME) to serve as the technical lead and solution architect for the SailPoint IdentityIQ platform, providing strategic direction, system design, and technical oversight for identity governance and administration capabilities. This role is responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing the SailPoint platform to ensure robust identity governance, secure authentication, and compliance with federal cybersecurity standards. The SME will lead a team of junior SailPoint engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and efficient identity management solutions.

Requirements

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • System Architecture & Design:
    • Design and architect the overall SailPoint IdentityIQ system, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and security.
    • Oversee database backups, system performance, and architectural improvements.
    • Provide design oversight for workflow automation, including user lifecycle management, entitlement provisioning, and aggregation tasks.
  • Development & Customization:
    • Lead code development, review, and validation for SailPoint workflows and connectors (e.g., Okta, MasterAPI).
    • Implement and enhance custom scripts (e.g., AWS Lambda, PowerShell) to support automated provisioning, deprovisioning, and MFA integrations.
    • Develop and execute user recertification campaigns and customized reporting for compliance and audit needs.
  • Operations & Maintenance:
    • Oversee daily operations, including monitoring connectors, resolving sync/data correlation issues, and ensuring system health.
    • Administer test and production environments, perform routine patching, and support migration and integration activities.
    • Ensure timely response to escalated helpdesk tickets and provide Tier 2/3 troubleshooting support.
  • Leadership & Collaboration:
    • Lead and mentor a team of junior SailPoint engineers, providing technical guidance and oversight.
    • Collaborate with application owners, project managers, and other stakeholders to onboard applications, manage roles, and troubleshoot integration issues.
    • Advise Government PMs on SailPoint's architecture, design strategy, and new feature releases.
  • Compliance & Documentation:
    • Ensure all activities comply with DOJ, EOUSA, and federal cybersecurity policies and standards (NIST, FedRAMP, OMB).
    • Maintain and update system documentation, training materials, and audit logs as required.


Required Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 6 years of experience developing and maintaining on-premises SailPoint IdentityIQ installations.
  • Proven expertise in SailPoint workflow design, connector configuration, and system integration (Okta, AWS, etc.).
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g., AWS Lambda, PowerShell) and experience with identity governance automation.
  • Experience leading technical teams and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • SailPoint IdentityIQ certification.
  • Experience with federal identity and access management standards and compliance.
  • Familiarity with Splunk, Okta, and cloud/hybrid identity solutions.
