Senior Revenue Accountant - Westford, MA

Position Summary:

We are currently searching for a Senior Revenue Accountant to join the finance team. Working closely with the corporate and divisional finance teams, the Senior Revenue Accountant will have responsibility to ensure accurate recording of all revenue related transactions and compliance of such transactions with revenue recognition accounting guidelines in accordance with ASC 606. The Senior Revenue Accountant will also be responsible for accounting for deferred revenue, monthly account reconciliations for deferred revenue, unbilled revenue and accounts receivable, and providing accurate analyses of customer and sales metrics to both Sales and Finance management.

This position will be at our Westford, MA office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review executed revenue contracts and agreements to ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with GAAP.
• Collaborate with Program Managers regarding revenue triggering activities for revenue recognition procedures.
• Enforce internal control procedures relating to automated systems maintenance and (manual) record keeping and documentation requirements.
• Monitor and reconcile unbilled receivables, accounts receivable and deferred revenue accounts.
• Prepare various ad hoc reports and other special projects for management as requested.
• Prepare recurring and period-end journal entries.
• Timely completion of month-end close.
• Prepare analysis to establish Standalone Selling Price for product and service offerings.
• Prepare quarterly reporting schedules required by Corporate Accounting for financial statement disclosures.
• Assist in testing the ERP system for new enhancements and upgrades as required.
• Participate in the annual audit with the external Audit firm.

Required Skills:

• Strong Knowledge and experience applying ASC 606
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and system skills

• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and exercise judgment
• Proficient in Microsoft applications including Excel and Word
• Strong communication skills
• Strong sense of urgency and proactive thinker; high degree of ownership
• Flexible, organized and able to handle competing priorities

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required, CPA desired
• Minimum of 4 years of related financial and accounting experience in applying revenue recognition criteria in a software environment
• Large ERP experience required; Oracle and RevStream experience a plus
• Previous software industry/public company experience preferred

The annual US salary range for this role is $95,000 to $105,000 base salary plus 10% annual bonus. This range represents NETSCOUT's good faith estimate of the compensation for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary within or, in some cases, outside this range based on factors such as education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.

Please note that the posted salary range may span multiple career levels. Final compensation and job level will be determined during the interview process, based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and alignment with the scope and expectations of the role.
