GENERAL FUNCTION
The Senior Recruiter leads full-cycle recruitment for assigned business units, from sourcing and candidate assessment through offer and onboarding handoff. This role builds and maintains talent pipelines for hard-to-fill and high-volume positions, partners with hiring managers to define staffing needs, manages third-party recruiting vendors, and tracks recruiting metrics to continuously improve time-to-fill and quality of hire. The Senior Recruiter also coordinates key handoff activities with HR Operations to ensure a smooth transition from offer acceptance to a new hire's start date.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Manage full-cycle recruitment - sourcing, screening, interview coordination, selection, offer negotiation, and onboarding handoff - for assigned requisitions.
• Establish and implement recruiting strategies tailored to each business unit's hiring needs.
• Build and maintain active, qualified candidate pipelines for hard-to-fill and high-volume positions.
• Research, analyze, and present recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, source effectiveness, offer-acceptance rate, pipeline health). Prepare reports on activities, outcomes, and challenges; recommend adjustments to strategy based on results.
• Select, manage, and evaluate third-party staffing and recruiting vendors to ensure cost-effective, quality outcomes.
• Deliver periodic training and refreshers to hiring teams on recruiting best practices (effective use of job boards, generating leads and referrals, structured interviewing, etc.).
• Conduct candidate quality screening as needed to gauge sourcing-channel and recruiter effectiveness, and to improve hiring-manager satisfaction ratios.
• Partner with Operations and HR Plant Managers to coordinate onboarding activities from candidate acceptance through start date, ensuring a smooth handoff to the HR Operations team.
• Initiate and coordinate background checks and drug screens with outside vendors; monitor turnaround and resolve issues that could delay a start date.
• Ensure new hires are accurately entered into applicant tracking and HRIS systems, and support the accuracy of recruiting-related data (e.g., requisition status, candidate records).
• Support new hire orientation activities as needed.
• Contribute to HR and Talent Acquisition special projects (e.g., employer branding, process improvement, systems implementation).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in full-cycle recruiting or talent acquisition, preferably in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Working knowledge of employment law and hiring compliance (EEO, background-check, and drug-screening regulations).
• Proven experience building and managing a candidate pipeline for hard-to-fill roles.
• Experience managing third-party staffing/recruiting vendor relationships.
• Strong interpersonal and client-service skills; comfortable acting as a trusted advisor to hiring managers.
• Strong computer skills (MS Office, applicant tracking systems, HRIS). Proficient with spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and email. Working knowledge of ADP and SuccessFactors preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
