The Role:We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join Narmi's Quality Engineering team, which focuses on improving the reliability and dependability of our products. You'll build independent automated tests while also acting as a resource within the broader Engineering organization - spreading testing best practices and coaching engineers to get better at testing their own work.
What You'll Do- Build & Maintain Test Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automated tests using Python and JavaScript.
- Own Release Testing: Test multiple releases in a given cycle.
- Develop CI/CD-Integrated Frameworks: Build automation frameworks that integrate with the CI/CD pipelines used by both Development and QE.
- Close Automation Gaps: Find gaps in automation and reduce manual test steps.
- Partner with Development Teams: Work closely with one or more development teams to support and increase test coverage.
- Champion Quality Culture: Partner cross-functionally to understand and improve quality across engineering at Narmi.
What You'll Bring- Testing Experience: 5+ years of experience with manual and automated testing of front-end and back-end apps and services.

- Analytical Rigor: Curiosity and great analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Communication Skills: Great communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Automation Expertise: Experience building automated tests for mobile/web apps and REST services, measuring test coverage, and developing/improving reliable test frameworks.
- Tooling (preferred): Experience with Cypress, Playwright, WebdriverIO, or Selenium.
- Testing Depth (preferred): Deep familiarity with unit, integration, end-to-end, and API-level testing.
- Mobile Testing (preferred): Experience testing mobile apps on Android and iOS.
The expected annual base salary for this role is $150,000-$185,000. Base salary is only part of your total compensation. In addition to base salary, you will receive an equity option grant, and are eligible for performance-based cash and equity bonuses. Compensation included in an offer will be commensurate with the candidate's skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation ranges for candidates located outside of New York City may differ. You will also receive a full benefits package.
