We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join our team in Austin, TX and play a pivotal role in shaping product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence across the organization.

In this highly visible role, you will partner with Engineering, Technology, Product Development, Manufacturing, and Services teams to lead investigations, implement corrective actions, and continuously strengthen our Quality Management System. Your work will directly influence customer outcomes, business performance, and the long-term reliability of innovative hardware and software solutions.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Lead Quality Improvements That Matter
    • Serve as the primary quality lead for customer complaints, warranty returns, and critical quality issues.
    • Drive investigations into customer concerns, internal nonconformances, and quality system issues using structured problem-solving methodologies.
    • Lead root cause analyses and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
    • Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring quality and reliability remain central to business decisions.
    • Maintain and continuously improve our ISO 9001:2015-compliant Quality Management System.
    • Plan and execute internal audits while supporting external and customer audits.
    • Own quality documentation, procedures, and records to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality processes and business performance.
    • Develop quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools that identify trends and drive proactive improvements.
    • Provide regular quality performance insights and recommendations to leadership.
    • Identify opportunities to reduce Cost of Quality, warranty expenses, and recurring issues.
    • Lead quality improvement projects that deliver measurable business and customer value.

    • Partner closely with Engineering, Technology, Product Management, Manufacturing, and Services teams to implement lasting improvements.
    • Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving sessions using methodologies such as 8D, FMEA, 5 Why, Fishbone, and CAPA.
    • Promote a culture of quality through coaching, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Present findings, recommendations, and improvement strategies to leaders and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Who You Are:

You are a proactive and analytical problem solver who enjoys digging into complex issues and driving them to resolution. You combine strong technical expertise with the ability to influence others, build alignment across teams, and create sustainable improvements. You are equally comfortable leading a root cause investigation, presenting to leadership, engaging with customers, and improving quality systems that support long-term business success.

For this Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Software testing, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical role.
  • Strong expertise in root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies, including 8D, FMEA, 5 Why, Fishbone, and CAPA.
  • Experience working within ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and driving improvement initiatives.
  • Strong communication, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and data analysis tools.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business or related field.
  • Experience with industrial automation, control systems, or process control environments, such as DCS, SIS, PLC.
  • Experience leading internal, external, or customer audits.
  • Knowledge of regulated industries and compliance requirements, including 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP 5, and FDA industry guidance.
  • Certifications such as ASQ CQE, Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or related continuous improvement credentials.
  • Previous experience leading quality technicians, engineers, or quality teams.
