Full Job Description
Role Overview

As the Senior OnShore QA Anchor, you will be the strategic quality lead for a high-visibility Digital Transformation initiative. We are rebuilding a foundational platform, centered on a modular React component library integrated with a global CMS.

You will serve as the primary bridge between the OnShore client development team and our OffShore ThoughtWorks testing team, ensuring that every component meets elite standards for Design, Accessibility (AX), Analytics, and SEO.
Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic QA Leadership: Act as a strategic advisor, influencing principal QA specialists and stakeholders to adopt best-in-class testing methodologies.
  • Onshore-Offshore Liaison: Define the testing roadmap and lead the OffShore team in executing high-velocity, high-quality test cycles.
  • Release Anchoring: Own the production-readiness sign-off for releases, ensuring alignment with fixed schedules and complex business logic.
  • Platform-Scale Strategy: Drive and influence the quality strategy across all layers-from frontend React components to backend services
  • Cross-Functional Validation: Partner with Dev and Product to ensure specialized requirements (SEO, AX, and Analytics) are not just "checked," but programmatically validated.
AI & Innovation Requirements

We are looking for a forward-thinking leader who leverages Artificial Intelligence to solve the challenges of testing at scale:
  • AI-Enhanced Automation: Experience implementing AI-powered self-healing tests and intelligent locators (e.g., using Playwright or Applitools Visual AI) to reduce maintenance overhead.
  • Synthetic Data Generation: Ability to use AI tools to generate complex, structured JSON/GraphQL data for CMS-driven testing scenarios.
  • Predictive Quality: Experience using AI-driven analytics to identify "high-risk" areas of the codebase for targeted regression, optimizing the test suite for faster CI/CD feedback.
  • Productivity: Proficiency in using AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude, Cursor) to accelerate the authoring of complex TypeScript-based test frameworks.
  • Agentic Testing Orchestration: Proven ability to implement and manage Autonomous AI Agents that perform exploratory and goal-oriented testing. The candidate should be able to move beyond brittle, scripted automation to "intent-based" testing, where agents independently:
    • Self-Heal & Adapt: Automatically detect and resolve broken selectors or workflow changes caused by updates to the React component library without human intervention.
    • Autonomous Exploration: Deploy agents to discover untested edge cases across multiple *.com, identifying various issues or logic breaks that traditional scripts might miss.
    • Context-Aware Validation: Use agents that understand the intent of a component (e.g., "validate that the checkout button remains accessible and localized in all RTL languages") rather than just checking for a static ID or class.
    • Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Agents: Leverage AI agents to analyze test failures, correlate them with recent code commits in the React library, and provide a detailed diagnosis to the development team to compress the debug cycle.
Must-Have Qualifications
  • 6+ years of Quality Engineering experience at the minimum
  • Frontend & UI: Deep expertise in React and Node.js. You must be comfortable diving into the component source code to architect integration tests.
  • Visual Regression: Advanced hands-on experience with Applitools and Storybook. You should understand how to validate fluid/responsive design across browsers and iOS devices.
  • Automation Frameworks: Mastery of WebdriverIO or Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript).
  • API & Backend: Expert-level testing of REST and GraphQL services.
  • Mobile: Proficiency in mobile automation using WebdriverIO or Appium for real-device iOS testing.
  • Influence & Conviction: Ability to challenge the status quo and guide client management toward modern QA patterns with confidence.
  • Big-Picture Thinking: Ability to see the "forest through the trees"-understanding how a single component change impacts the global platform.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, tailored for both executive stakeholders and technical engineering teams
  • Distributed Testing: Experience working in distributed testing teams and leveraged Agentic workflows for asynchronous testing/collaboration
