About the Role:

The Senior Project Manager owns factory-to-site execution for Tate's datacenter customer programs, leading projects from planning and production through site delivery, commissioning, turnover, and final customer acceptance. Reporting into the Program Management organization, this role serves as the primary customer-facing program lead and is responsible for aligning Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Logistics, Site Operations, Commissioning, and Customer teams to deliver safe, compliant, and fully functional solutions.

Tate's datacenter customers demand flawless execution of mission-critical infrastructure where commissioning readiness, documentation accuracy, schedule adherence, and customer acceptance directly impact project success. The Senior Project Manager is accountable for ensuring that equipment, resources, documentation, and stakeholders are aligned from factory release through site acceptance.

This role owns commissioning readiness planning, field issue resolution, turnover documentation, acceptance testing coordination, and customer communications throughout the project lifecycle. The position works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, Field Service, Commissioning teams, contractors, and customer stakeholders to proactively identify risks, remove execution barriers, and maintain delivery commitments.

This is a role for someone who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and can effectively lead cross-functional teams without direct authority. The ideal candidate combines strong manufacturing execution knowledge with hands-on understanding of commissioning, startup, testing, and customer acceptance activities within mission-critical environments.

You will help shape program execution strategy while ensuring Tate continues to deliver exceptional customer experiences across its growing portfolio of datacenter infrastructure solutions. The right person for this role sees around corners, anticipates risks before they become issues, and drives accountability with a strong sense of urgency.

What You'll Do:

Program Leadership & Governance

• Lead multiple high-value, technically complex programs from contract handoff through production, shipment, installation support, commissioning, and customer acceptance.
• Establish integrated schedules, stage gates, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, resource plans, decision logs, and governance routines.
• Drive accountability across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Logistics, Field Service, Commissioning, and Customer Operations.
• Manage scope, schedule, cost, quality, change control, risks, and executive escalations; develop recovery plans when commitments are at risk.
• Provide executive reporting on critical-path status, forecast accuracy, key decisions, and risk exposure.

Commissioning Readiness & Site Support

• Own the commissioning-readiness plan from factory through site turnover, aligning equipment, documentation, resources, and prerequisites to the customer commissioning schedule.
• Coordinate commissioning scope, responsibility matrices, test scripts, hold points, acceptance criteria, and handoffs among internal teams, contractors, commissioning agents, and customers.
• Support and track Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), startup, functional performance testing, integrated systems testing (IST), and final acceptance, as applicable to project scope.
• Validate site-readiness inputs including access, utilities, interfaces, installation completion, controls/network availability, permits, and customer prerequisites before mobilization or testing.
• Coordinate field engineering and technical resources for installation verification, energization/startup support, testing, troubleshooting, and issue closure.
• Lead daily commissioning coordination during critical execution windows with a clear plan of record, constraints log, escalation path, and recovery actions.
• Manage commissioning punch lists, deficiencies, nonconformances, retesting, and evidence of closure to protect quality and acceptance milestones.
• Ensure turnover packages are complete, including approved drawings, test records, inspection results, certificates, manuals, training records, redlines/as-builts, and warranty documentation.
• Capture commissioning lessons learned and drive corrective actions into engineering, manufacturing, packaging, installation, and quality processes.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive project or program management experience in manufacturing, mission-critical facilities, datacenter infrastructure, industrial equipment, power, cooling, controls, or related technical environments.
• Demonstrated experience supporting commissioning, startup, testing, turnover, or customer acceptance of complex equipment or infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of commissioning lifecycle activities, including readiness reviews, FAT/SAT, functional testing, integrated testing, punch-list management, issue resolution, and turnover documentation.
• Experience leading customer-facing programs and communicating with senior executives, technical stakeholders, contractors, and field teams.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, quality controls, production planning, supply chain, logistics, and product delivery.
• Proven ability to lead multiple complex projects, cross-functional teams, critical-path schedules, and competing priorities.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, test procedures, schedules, and contractual deliverables.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Excel, Power BI, or comparable project controls and reporting tools.
• Ability to travel to manufacturing sites, customer locations, and datacenter sites as business needs require.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
