Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from estimating handoff through construction, closeout, and warranty.
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, billing schedules, and buyout strategies.
  • Own project P&L, monitor job costs, margins, and budget variances.
  • Manage subcontractor contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, pay applications, and project documentation.
  • Review plans and specifications for constructability, risks, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Coordinate with Superintendents on field execution, manpower, equipment, sequencing, and subcontractor performance.
  • Serve as the primary client and stakeholder contact and lead project/OAC meetings.
  • Coordinate inspections, punch lists, closeout, final payment, and warranty requirements.
  • Collaborate with estimating, engineering, surveying, safety, accounting, and operations.
  • Promote safety, quality, and OSHA compliance throughout project execution.

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager in St. Louis, Missouri to manage 2-4 concurrent design-build projects, typically ranging from $500,000 to $5 million.

This role has direct responsibility for project budget, schedule, quality, safety, client satisfaction, and P&L performance. The Senior Project Manager will serve as the primary contact for owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field leadership.

Approximately two days per week will be spent at active project sites, with the remainder based in the office.

  • 5-10 years of progressive construction project management experience.

  • Site work or self-perform experience with asphalt, concrete, or earthwork highly valued.
  • Proficiency with Heavy Job, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms; strong Excel skills.
  • HCSS and ECMS experience is a plus.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and client relationship skills.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel approximately two days per week to regional project sites.
  • Public-sector, prevailing wage, union, or cooperative procurement experience is a plus.
