Full Job Description
Senior Project Manager

Saber Power Services seeks a Senior Project Manager to manage and oversee all phases of high-voltage substation and transmission projects. This includes the planning, execution, and completion of projects in alignment with contract specifications, timelines, and budgets.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the management of substation and transmission line projects. The individual must be an expert in overseeing all aspects of project delivery, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and resource allocation. Adept at leading multi-disciplinary teams, coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders, and ensuring projects are executed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Strong focus on optimizing project workflows, mitigating risks, and resolving issues promptly to maintain project momentum and achieve client satisfaction

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Execution: Lead and manage all phases of the project life cycle from initial concept to final delivery, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Team Leadership & Coordination: Supervise project teams, coordinate cross-functional departments, and ensure resources are allocated effectively to meet project milestones.
  • Contract & Budget Management: Develop, manage, and control project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met while maintaining adherence to contract terms. Work with the finance team to ensure accurate project cost forecasting.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams. Provide regular project updates and prepare detailed reports on project status, risks, and opportunities.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Resolve escalated issues involving project scope, timelines, or resources.
  • Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, quality standards, and safety requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Strategy & Decision-Making: Provide strategic input on project planning and delivery. Contribute to high-level decisions that influence project outcomes and long-term client relationships.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development of best practices, tools, and methodologies for improving project management processes across the organization.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested by management.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Project Management, or Construction Management is required; equivalent years of experience may substitute formal education
  • Masters in Business Administration is preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant project management experience, including significant experience with high-voltage substation and/or transmission line projects within an EPC environment
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred
    Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management skills
    • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects
    • In-depth knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems, substations, and transmission lines
    • Advanced project management skills including budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and contract administration
    • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and MS Office Suite
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of dealing with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams at all levels
    • Ability to think strategically and make decisions that align with organizational goals.
    • Occasional travel to project sites may be required
