The Opportunity
Based in New York City, you'll manage and deliver major Rail + Transit projects for agencies such as MTA, Amtrak, PANYNJ, NJ Transit, LIRR, Metro-North, and others. You'll also have opportunities to collaborate on national pursuits with agencies like WMATA, SEPTA, and CTA.
You'll lead a talented team of engineers and designers, build strong client relationships, and deliver projects that improve regional and national mobility.
Responsibilities & QualificationsWhat You'll Do- Lead and deliver complex Rail + Transit design projects, from early planning through final design.
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients, ensuring quality and exceptional service.
- Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers, fostering growth and career development.
- Collaborate with senior leaders nationwide to pursue new opportunities and strengthen our Rail + Transit practice.
- Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and professional associations in New York and beyond.
- Play a key role in project pursuits, including proposal development, strategy, and presentations.
What You Bring- A degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Professional Engineer (PE) license in NY strongly preferred.
- Proven success delivering Rail + Transit engineering design projects, programs, or on-call assignments for major agencies.
- 10+ years of relevant experience, with deep expertise in Rail + Transit projects.
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and motivating teams.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
- Ability to balance technical delivery, business development, and team growth responsibilities.

Additional InformationTYLin is committed to pay equity.As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $150,000 - $230,000 annually for this position and local market. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of skills, experience, education and competencies to the table that will be reflected in our offer.
