Secure Environments Senior Project Manager

What this job involves:

As a Senior Project Manager at JLL, you will lead the delivery of complex construction and corporate real estate projects within secured environments, ensuring successful outcomes aligned with client objectives, budget expectations, and schedule requirements. This role is responsible for managing projects from initial planning and scope development through design, construction, and closeout, while serving as a trusted advisor to clients and project stakeholders. You will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, managing risk, supporting capital planning initiatives, and developing high-performing consultant and contractor teams.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Lead overall project management delivery across multiple secured environment construction projects from planning through completion.
  • Partner with clients to support capital plan development, establish project scope, and align delivery strategies with long-term business goals.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, cash flow forecasts, cost reports, and schedules while driving cost savings, value engineering initiatives, and financial accountability.
  • Coordinate and manage consultants, contractors, vendors, and project teams to ensure project milestones, quality standards, and performance criteria are achieved.
  • Provide technical oversight related to design development, construction documentation, permitting, entitlements, and scheduling activities.
  • Monitor project risks, compliance requirements, and construction-related liabilities, including adherence to secured environment standards such as ICD-705 and TEMPEST requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communications, account meetings, reporting, and conflict resolution support.
  • Analyze project metrics, KPIs, and operational data to identify trends, improve delivery performance, and establish best practices across projects and teams.
  • Support business development efforts by cultivating industry relationships, participating in industry organizations, and identifying opportunities to strengthen client partnerships.


Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • 7-10 years of practical experience in construction project management, preferably within corporate real estate or secured environment projects.
  • 3-5 years of experience managing projects requiring compliance with ICD-705 and TEMPEST standards.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multiple medium to large-scale ground-up development and corporate interiors projects simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, accounting principles, financial reporting, scheduling, and construction cost management processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, design development documents, commercial leases, and related project documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships across clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and project management software tools.
  • Flexibility to travel within the United States and/or Canada and work in a hybrid environment, including up to 25% time spent at client office locations as required.


Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience working with landlords, developers, and institutional property owners within complex commercial real estate environments.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced project settings.
  • Experience supporting acquisition teams and legal stakeholders with lease reviews, work letters, and project-related lease exhibits.
  • Proven ability to identify project risks, implement mitigation strategies, and maintain compliance with operational and construction standards.
  • Demonstrated success in negotiating contracts, managing vendor performance, and conducting bid leveling activities.
  • Experience establishing and refining project management best practices, standards of excellence, and operational procedures.
  • Interest and demonstrated capability in business development and expanding client relationships.
  • Ability to thrive within collaborative, cross-functional teams where everyone is empowered to thrive and contribute to shared success.
