Full Job Description
Position Location: This role supports our Tempe, AZ branch location, which serves customers throughout the greater Phoenix, AZ area.

Senior Project Managers manage our Hyper-scale Data Center Electrical Services project portfolio. In this role, projects are managed in alignment with established Project Management policies, guidelines, programs, and standards. Responsibilities include delivering on all critical phase gates of a program, ensuring high-quality deliverables throughout the process. Additionally, oversight of project definition, control, and reporting is required, with essential updates provided to management to keep them informed on progress and outcomes. The position also involves supervising, directing, and motivating the project team during planning, design, installation, start-up, commissioning, turnover, and warranty phases of assigned projects, while ensuring customer satisfaction throughout and at the completion of each project. Projects typically consist of:
  • Low- and Medium-Voltage Acceptance Testing
  • Preventive Maintenance
  • Repairs and Upgrades
  • Power System Studies
  • Large Turnkey Projects

As a Senior Project Manager, you will:
  • Represent the company as the main point of contact for the customer, subcontractors, and site trades
  • Understand the contract deliverables and develop necessary schedule and plans for delivering them
  • Communicate regularly with customers through all phases of the project deliverable
  • Responsible for the project financials, including project billing schedule
  • Maintain project Change Orders and Request for Information Logs
  • Identify potential problems and proactively address
  • Develop cohesive and effective project teams while working in a matrix organization
  • Support of project proposal efforts. This includes identifying deliverables and commercial issues by reviewing RFP / contract specifications and working with the engineering team on a cost-effective execution model
  • Responsible for all project activities including monthly financial and labor forecasting, monthly cost-to-complete reviews, and invoicing and collections for assigned projects
  • Maintain current knowledge of regulatory laws, changes and requirements and ensure compliance

Basic Qualifications:
  • Site commissioning experience on Hyper-scale Data Center sites
  • 4 years of experience in the installation, maintenance, engineering, of low and medium-voltage power distribution systems as noted in the position overview
  • Familiar with startup and commissioning of switch gear
  • Must understand and be able to discuss project schedules. This includes being proficient in the use of MS Project.
  • Must be proficient in Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Must be able to discuss project financials in detail
  • Be able to discuss confrontational issues (ex. claims, delays, etc.) with customer
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent organizational skills: must be able to handle multiple tasks and duties effectively
  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED
  • Must possess a valid driver's license in good standing and be at least 21 years old to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
  • Travel approximately local 25% as required for projects

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 8 years of experience in the installation, maintenance, engineering of low and medium-voltage power distribution systems
  • 4 years project management experience
  • Associate's Degree
  • PMI Project Management Professional certification preferred.

The pay range for this position is $91,463 - $156,794 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
