Full Job Description
Senior Glazing Project Manager Location: Greater Vancouver / Langley, BC Industry: Commercial Glazing / Architectural Glass & Metal Our client is a well-established glazing contractor based in the Greater Vancouver area, specializing in high-end commercial, retail, office and custom architectural glazing projects across North America. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an experienced Senior Glazing Project Manager to their team. This is a hands-on project management position responsible for taking glazing projects from preconstruction through fabrication, installation and final closeout. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, general contractors, architects, designers, internal drafting/fabrication teams and field installation crews to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard of quality. Key Responsibilities: Manage multiple commercial glazing projects simultaneously from award through completion Coordinate project schedules, budgets, procurement, fabrication and installation Review architectural drawings, specifications, shop drawings and project requirements Coordinate closely with clients, general contractors, architects and subcontractors Work with internal drafting and fabrication teams to resolve design and production issues Order and coordinate materials while monitoring lead times and project requirements Conduct and/or coordinate site measurements and site visits Provide direction and support to installation teams in the field Attend project meetings and weekly client/GC calls Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, schedules and project documentation Monitor project financials, costs and overall profitability Identify potential project issues early and develop practical solutions Assist with project closeout, punch lists and final completion Travel to project sites across North America as required, primarily for site measurements and punch-list activities Requirements: 5+ years of project management experience within commercial glazing, architectural glass, curtain wall, storefront or a closely related façade environment Strong understanding of glazing systems, storefront, curtain wall, doors and architectural metal Proven experience managing projects from award through completion Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications Strong knowledge of project scheduling, procurement, fabrication and installation Experience working directly with general contractors, architects, clients and field teams Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines Willingness to travel periodically for projects across North America Experience with shop drawings, site measurements and construction documentation would be highly advantageous What the Company Offers: Competitive salary and benefits package Opportunity to work on high-end architectural glazing projects Exposure to projects across North America Career progression within a growing glazing organization Collaborative environment involving estimating, design, fabrication, project management and installation
