Position Title: Senior Project Manager - Healthcare Construction

About the Role: This role is pivotal for managing a significant healthcare construction project, specifically a freestanding surgical center spanning 40,000 to 50,000 square feet, with a budget of $40 to $50 million. The Senior Project Manager will operate from the Yakima satellite office while overseeing projects across Central Washington, from Tri-Cities to Wenatchee and Omak. The position offers the potential for long-term growth, with a pathway to becoming the General Manager of the Central Washington/Yakima office within approximately five to seven years. The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader who can drive project success and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle. This position requires a commitment to excellence and a proactive approach to team management and communication.

Salary Range: $130,000 - $160,000 / Year DOE

Senior Project Manager - Healthcare Construction Responsibilities
  • Lead preconstruction efforts and estimating collaboration, focusing on budgets and GMP development
  • Work closely with the design team on constructability, coordinating subcontractors, and attending OAC/design meetings
  • Develop and manage project schedules, planning for the procurement of long-lead items
  • Manage a project team, including Project Engineers and Superintendents, while coordinating with Project Administration
  • Oversee self-performed scopes such as carpentry and concrete work
  • Conduct regular site visits for oversight and stakeholder communication

Senior Project Manager - Healthcare Construction Requirements
  • 7-10 years of commercial construction project management experience, with a strong preference for healthcare projects
  • Experience leading large ground-up projects, with a comfort level managing budgets of $20 million or more
  • Exposure to preconstruction and estimating processes, with the ability to drive GMP
  • Strong leadership skills in managing teams and excellent client communication abilities
  • Willingness to be based in Yakima and manage projects across Central Washington
  • Direct experience with healthcare projects in Central/Eastern Washington is preferred
  • Established relationships with regional subcontractors and design teams are preferred
  • Experience in occupied healthcare renovations or tenant improvements is preferred
  • Prior experience with union or self-perform contractors is preferred
