Position

Senior Project Finance Analyst
  • Location: Belcamp, Maryland (Hybrid Work Schedule)
  • Security Clearance: Active Clearance or Eligible to Obtain - U.S. citizenship required
  • Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 Depending on Experience and Education
  • Travel: 5%

Position Summary

SURVICE Engineering is currently seeking a Senior Project Finance Analyst to support our Corporate Finance Team. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for everyday pricing efforts on current awarded contracts as well as the overall project set-up, invoice review/approval, and project financials tracking. Coordinates with government/industry counterparts providing financial reporting and requirements. Reports to senior management on financial reporting monthly (or as required) and acts as financial advisor to project managers with financial actions/plans. Provides daily oversight of the Project Finance Group personnel to ensure an effective and efficient group. Experience with Deltek Costpoint is strongly preferred. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide daily management/oversight of the PF Group personnel to ensure an effective and efficient group.
  • Provide regular coordination with the CFO and other group and area operations managers as appropriate.
  • Ensure PF Group compliance with company policies and security procedures.
  • Determine and resolve PF Group personnel workload issues.
  • Participate in SURVICE Manager meetings.
  • Develop and manage PF Group personnel resource requirements.
  • Lead the formulation and coordination of cost proposal/pricing (new tasks and mods) for awarded IDIQ contracts, current customers, ROMs, SBIRs
  • Act as financial advisor to the Program Managers/Leads
  • Prepare cost reports for management.
  • Develop corrective financial action plans.
  • Analyze and report variances for projects.
  • Perform or assist with financial compliance and procedural audits (internal and external).
  • Ensure that the company's internal controls and policies are functional and adequate, and that they comply with regulatory rules for project financials.
  • Perform financial and accounting related activities.
  • Evaluate financial documents for correctness and completeness.
  • Ensure financial and accounting reports are prepared in accordance with company regulations.
  • Address financial issues and inquiries.
  • Prepare and review profit/loss (MCFR) to identify gaps and find relevant solutions.
  • Maintain accurate financial data and reports for submission to senior management and external customers.
  • Supports contract and pricing negotiations for award.
  • Compensation recommendations impact to projects and review of comp committee proposed increases
  • Supports requirements and approves management reductions and risk account.
  • Oversee PF Group support to Corporate functions (Accounting, Contracts, HR, Business Development, etc.)
  • Oversee PF Group support for Area Operation project financial needs.


Minimum Qualifications of Senior Project Finance Analyst
Bachelor's Degree in Business/Finance and 5+ years of relevant experience. Exceptional candidates with less experience will be considered. Candidates are not required to possess all qualifications; if you possess some of the desired qualifications, please apply.
  • 5 years of government contracting experience.
  • General knowledge of SURVICE customers and industry
  • Deltek Costpoint Experience (Strongly Preferred)
  • SharePoint
  • Project financial analysis experience
  • History of producing quality and timely products
  • The ability to undertake and resolve management issues through research, analysis, communication, and the application of judgment developed from previous experiences
  • Knowledge and experience working with Department of War organizations and contracts.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including presentation and writing skills, team building, etc.
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFAR
