Senior Project Engineer to join our Los Angeles, CA office.
DESCRIPTION:As a
SeniorProject Engineer at Fisk Electric, reporting to the Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to work on L.A. Metro Purple Line 2/3 Extension projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Track, review and process Change Proposal Requests, Change Orders, Owner Payment Applications and, if applicable, claims
- Monitor job costs, maintain accurate reports and assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in preparing quantity reports, analyzing the labor costs and completing quarterly profit project records
- Manage the preparation and executing of the Project closeout process
- Research and propose solutions to quality control issues
- Verify that all completed work complies with applicable codes, drawings and specifications
- Provide support to the project leadership as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or related field is required;
- Minimum ten (10) years of construction industry experience
- Field Engineer experience preferred.
- Electrical contractor experience is a plus.
- Traffic / Street Lighting experience is a plus.
- Must understand fundamentals of contracting and have familiarity with large scale mass transit / transportation projects.
- Must be organized with the ability to manage a system or discipline.
- Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
- Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities is vital.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills such as tact, diplomacy, influence, etc. are essential.
- Must be a business-oriented person.
