Full Job Description
We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Program Manager to join our dynamic team within the Amazon Vendor Services (AVS) organization. As a Senior Program Manager, you will lead the development of our vision and roadmap, focusing on understanding and advocating for improvements upon the customer and vendor experience. Your role will involve synthesizing customer data, both qualitative and quantitative, to envision and implement shopping experience enhancements. This PM will have direct access to an industry-renowned CPG vendor partner to identify and address customer pain-points at scale. This PM must be able to translate customer shopping patterns into user stories and must also have experience building a feature roadmap. Simultaneously, this PM will be expected to influence and drive feature prioritization with various teams across Amazon.

The successful Sr. PM:

- Has prior product or program management experience and strong understanding on the intricacies of working with strategic, cross-category and cross-GL brands and stakeholder teams

- Is a smart, hard-working and a creative person who loves solving difficult business problems and 'getting things done'

- Can think big to develop and nurture new ideas, while simultaneously applying high standards to weed out ideas that are less impactful, with a healthy disregard for 'the ways things have been'

- Is comfortable collaborating and influencing team members, working with development teams and other business groups, and presenting projects to senior leadership on a regular basis

- Has the ability to partner to build and execute on new initiatives and roadmaps each year

- Has the ability to develop a long-term strategy working with external and internal stakeholders, to elevate strategic projects and drive positive customer experience

- Earns trust quickly and build relationships stakeholders across the organization

- Develops clear and detailed SOPs and functional requirements

- Partners with key stakeholders globally to develop, launch and scale processes that balance Brand needs with Customer trust

- Is able to analyze and leverage data to assess risk and identify mechanisms to pro-actively mitigate the risk

- Leverages industry best practices to establish repeatable practices, principles & processes

- Develops and communicates our roadmap to stakeholders

Key job responsibilities
• Vision and Roadmap Development: Craft a compelling vision and roadmap to address key customer and brand pain-points in the Household Essentials shopping domain.
• Customer-Centric Approach: Utilize a deep understanding of customer behavior and preferences to translate data into actionable user stories. Identify opportunities for improving the overall shopping experience.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to align on goals and timeline for execution. Influence and drive feature prioritization with appropriate teams across Amazon.
• Customer Experience and Financial Management: Understand, prioritize, and manage customer experience and financial levers effectively. Ensure alignment between goals and business objectives.
• Program Management: Demonstrate excellent program management skills to deliver results within a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. Timely delivery of large-scale projects with a focus on quality and impact, owning end to end delivery of strategy, and communicating results to senior leadership
• Independent Operation: Operate independently while upholding a strong sense of accountability and ownership. Exercise judgment, creativity, and influence to navigate challenges and drive success.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of program or project management experience

- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

- Bachelor's degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

- Knowledge of database systems and SQL

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.

- Demonstrated ability to influence and drive decision-making in a global, cross-functional setting.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
