Overview

Tecolote Research is seeking a highly motivated Senior Program Management Specialist -to support a Department of Defense (DoD) space acquisition program office. This role provides program management, technical integration, and analytical support for military SATCOM capabilities, operational exercises, and international engagement. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and critical thinker capable of coordinating across Government, operational, international, and industry stakeholders to advance complex program objectives. Position has flexibility for support from Colorado Springs, CO an alternate Tecolote office.

Responsibilities

  • Provide program management and technical integration support for SATCOM and international engagement activities
  • Lead and support projects involving operational exercises, demonstrations, experimentation, and system resiliency
  • Coordinate across acquisition, engineering, operational, test, international, and industry organizations to advance program objectives
  • Develop and evaluate COAs to address technical, operational, scheduling, and resource challenges
  • Coordinate with Government and industry stakeholders on EW/EMI resiliency, system characterization, and test requirements
  • Develop and coordinate technical agreements, briefings, fact sheets, and other program documentation
  • Prepare and deliver program updates to Government leadership, working groups, operational organizations, and international partners
  • Support FMS, FVEY, and foreign disclosure activities, including review and configuration management of releasable products
  • Translate complex technical information into clear descriptions of system capabilities, operational benefits, and recommendations
  • Track program activities, external engagements, action items, milestones, and progress toward Government objectives
  • Perform additional program office support tasks and special projects assigned


Salary range: $90,000 - $130,000/Year, Depending on experience, qualifications, and credentials)

Skills Required

  • Experience supporting DoD acquisition, operational, or program management organizations
  • Experience with military SATCOM, space, communications, or related systems
  • Experience supporting user integration, exercises, demonstrations, testing, or capability development
  • Ability to coordinate technical and programmatic activities across multiple Government and industry organizations
  • Experience developing and presenting technical briefings, recommendations, and program documentation
  • Familiarity with international engagement, Foreign Military Sales (FMS), Five Eyes (FVEY), or foreign disclosure processes
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an integrated Government/contractor team


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting U.S. Space Force SATCOM programs or operational organizations
  • Experience supporting electromagnetic warfare (EW), electromagnetic interference (EMI) resiliency, exercises, or system characterization
  • Experience supporting international partners and FMS activities
  • Experience developing Courses of Action (COAs), Memoranda of Agreement (MOAs), or similar technical/programmatic agreements


Education

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
