In addition to reporting, analysis, and general accounting, you will work alongside business leaders to deliver on financial targets, while sharing your passion for numbers and technology.
This role will be responsible for financial reporting responsibilities such as preparation of financial statements, financial reporting package, account reconciliations, and technical IFRS analysis.
Location: Hybrid- 3 days a week from our Winnipeg or Toronto office & 2 days working from home
Reporting to: Manager, Financial Reporting
These are some of the key ingredients to the role:
- Preparation of monthly financial statements in accordance with IFRS
- Preparation of monthly financial reporting packages for parent company
- Work closely with the global financial reporting team to align the Group accounting manual with new business initiatives
- Preparation of position papers on both new initiatives and existing key transaction streams
- Preparation of monthly journal entries and working papers to apply relevant applicable accounting standards
- Assist with the implementation of new financial systems and softwares
- Coordinate collection of audit documentation for yearly audit
- Other ad hoc projects as required
What will you bring to the table?
- CPA Designation (Candidates working towards their designation will be considered)
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Extensive background in general accounting, IFRS compliance, and preparing complex financial position papers.
- Highly proficient in Excel and Google Workspace, with asset-level knowledge of PowerBI, SQL, and corporate/indirect taxes.
- Proven ability to partner with business leaders and translate complex financial concepts for non-finance stakeholders.
- Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a track record of identifying and streamlining inefficiencies for better team productivity.
- Exceptionally organized and adaptable, with a demonstrated ability to thrive under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Works seamlessly both independently and collaboratively while handling sensitive, confidential information with strict professionalism.
