Responsibilities

  • Maintain comprehensive production schedules for all activities
  • Capture daily and weekly production progress
  • Communicate planned work for production one to two weeks ahead
  • Provide status updates to project managers and directors
  • Understand project milestones and their implications on scheduling
  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to adjust schedules based on changes
  • Utilize project software for evaluating manning requirements
  • Facilitate meetings as required.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ability to Train and Lead a team of multiple Production Schedulers
  • Capable of Building Detailed Project Schedule and Coordinate Build and Execution Steps from base initiation of Award to Fulfillment of deliverable.
  • Display Creativity and Initiative to meet Required Deadlines and Requirements within Production Schedule and Contract Standards.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining a schedule for all production activities.
  • Ensure production's daily and weekly progress is captured in the production schedule.
  • Accurately produce and communicate planned work for the production department one to two weeks ahead.
  • Be able to accurately update project managers and directors with the status of the project and detail of work remaining.
  • Ability to understand key events and milestones.
  • Understanding of work breakdown structures (WBS)
  • Understand how work not completed will affect project milestone schedules.
  • Coordinate with Production Managers, Production Control, and Operation Planners to understand changes that impact delivery schedules. Update schedules accordingly.
  • Coordinate with Proper Personnel regarding schedule changes and impacts to product milestones/delivery.
  • Must be able to utilize project software to evaluate and produce manning requirements.
  • May be required to lead reviews and drive meetings.

  • Other duties as assigned to support production needs

Qualifications:
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft 360 suite.
  • Must be advanced in MS Project or equivalent scheduling software
  • Experience with Excel macros.
  • Must have significant experience using software such as Primavera.
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint preferred.
  • Experience in Structural Ship Building or Repair a plus.
  • Must have strong verbal & written communication skills.
  • Must be a team oriented, dependable individual, who is knowledgeable in manufacturing scheduling for work performed in a job shop environment.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Must have 7 years' experience in a production scheduling role.

While performing these job duties, the employee is routinely required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; use fingers and hands to type or write; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; taste or smell. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to carry 50 pounds.
