In this role, you will support the development and execution of marketing, education, and portfolio growth initiatives across multiple Medtronic therapy areas, aligning strategies with regional business needs and market opportunities. You will partner closely with Sales, Clinical, and Regional teams to drive product adoption, customer engagement, and commercial success through clinical and technical expertise, educational programs, and field support. As a Sr. Product Specialist, you will serve as a trusted resource to identify growth opportunities, support portfolio expansion, and contribute to strong clinical and business outcomes across the region. This position is flexwork in Puerto Rico, San Juan.
- Develops and reviews short- and long-term corporate plans, goals, and objectives for a specific product or product line
- Conducts competitive product analysis and market research, including consumer behavior and healthcare professional insights
- Evaluates the profitability and feasibility of new products or product enhancements
- Develops production and go-to-market strategies and tactics to ensure effective product positioning aligned with market opportunities
- Works closely with Product Development throughout the product, brand, or portfolio lifecycle
- Collaborates cross-functionally to finalize product specifications
- Leads advertising and promotional activities to support brand equity
- Serves as a technical advisor, including product demonstrations and resolution of product-related issues
Required Knowledge and Experience- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medicine, Nursing, Surgical Instrumentation, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Advanced English proficiency (minimum B2 level required).
- 3+ years of experience in product marketing, product management, clinical marketing, or commercial roles within the medical device industry.
- Experience leading regional or cross-country projects.
- Experience working directly with healthcare professionals, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
- Strong knowledge of product marketing, market development, product launches, KOL engagement, portfolio management, and commercial planning.
Nice to Have- Experience leveraging AI tools and data-driven insights to support business planning, market analysis, and decision-making
- Experience with physician education programs, advisory boards, congresses, and clinical training initiatives
- Experience in portfolio management, pricing, forecasting, and product lifecycle management
- Knowledge of market access, reimbursement pathways, and healthcare economics
- Exposure to regional or multinational business environments
