Position Summary

The Senior Product Owner serves as the primary customer representative for an AI-enabled rapid software delivery team. Working directly with business and technology stakeholders, this individual ensures customer objectives are translated into software solutions that deliver measurable business value.
Acting as the bridge between the customer and the development team, the Senior Product Owner is responsible for defining priorities, facilitating collaboration, demonstrating progress, gathering feedback, and driving projects from concept through production.
The primary purpose of this role is to drive business outcomes by ensuring the right solutions are delivered quickly, align with customer objectives, and maximize the value of AI-enabled software delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Leadership
  • Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the engagement.
  • Build trusted relationships with business and technology stakeholders.
  • Understand customer goals, challenges, and desired business outcomes.
  • Translate business objectives into prioritized product requirements and user stories.

Product Ownership
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog.
  • Define user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Continuously prioritize work based on business value, customer feedback, and delivery objectives.
  • Ensure the team is always focused on delivering the highest-value capabilities.

Delivery Leadership
  • Partner closely with the AI-enabled software delivery team to accelerate solution delivery.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Remove roadblocks and facilitate timely decision-making.
  • Ensure delivery remains focused on achieving measurable business outcomes-not simply completing features.

Customer Engagement
  • Lead recurring status meetings, sprint reviews, and solution demonstrations.
  • Gather customer feedback and translate it into future product enhancements.
  • Communicate project progress, milestones, risks, and expected business impact.
  • Validate delivered functionality against customer expectations and agreed-upon success criteria.
  • Drive customer adoption by ensuring delivered solutions are understood, embraced, and delivering intended business value.


Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, or Agile Delivery Lead.
  • Experience working directly with executive stakeholders and business leaders.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience leading Agile software development initiatives.
  • Ability to translate business needs into actionable product requirements.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AI-enabled software delivery or modern software engineering practices.
  • Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile management tools.
  • Agile/Scrum certification (preferred).
  • Experience delivering enterprise software solutions.
