Location: Austin, United States of America

This position is hybrid in Austin, TX

As a Sr Product Marketing Manager within Thales Cyber Security Products (CSP) unit, you will play a key role in supporting, developing and executing overall marketing support, communicate product launches, content creation, supporting GTM programs targeting our prospects and customers. You will support the Thales CipherTrust Data Security Platform. The technologies such as data discovery and classification, encryption, key management, tokenization and data masking comprise this platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the messaging, positioning, content, and developer a go-to-market strategy to enable successful product launches and marketing campaigns.
  • Develop a "developer-first" narrative for products by understanding ecosystem needs and messaging, market trends, and competition. Develop the sales tools and lead generation tools that support the selling process of Thales CipherTrust Platform products
  • Work and collaborate with different teams including product management, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to analyze and identify competitive products strengths, weaknesses, and differentiators.
  • Build the go-to-market plan and launch marketing programs with field and channel marketing channel managers and sales to promote adoption.
  • Support sales team in sales discussions with prospects and customers.


Required Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in business and/or technical field of study.
  • 8+ years' experience working as a product marketing manager of cybersecurity products, such as data security, tokenization, encryption, data masking, DSPM, data security platform, application data protection, containers, Kubernetes, Secrets Management & DevSecOps
  • Technical aptitude and experience building and communicating data security products to a data security audience.
  • Good understanding of developer and partner ecosystem audiences and their motivations, understand enterprise buyer and user personas tasked with developer tools and solutions and how to market developer solutions to them.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain and translate complex technical concepts into simple and intuitive communications.
  • Experience designing sales collateral from scratch based on sales conversations, sales calls, product interviews, user interviews, market research, and your own experience.
  • Knowledge of how to run successful developer and digital and in-person integrated marketing campaigns
  • Able to coordinate across many teams, iterate, and deliver in a fast-moving environment.
  • Ability to use LLM's to products good quality work, fast
  • Drive to continuously learn and get better
  • Skilled using SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, Adobe, Salesforce, PowerBI, & Project Management Tools
  • Understanding of Post Quantum Cryptography and the future roadmap of it


Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or IT Management field of study or another relevant field of study.
  • 7 to 9+ years of experience IT operations.
  • Marketing experience in the technology or security space.
  • Security certifications such as CISSP & CCSK
  • Experience with cloud native, datacenter, and hybrid infrastructure and applications desirable.

The reference Total Target Compensation (TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is between

Total Target Cash (TTC) 145,600.00 - 242,937.50 USD Annual
