Full Job Description
The Senior Marketing Manager, Product Marketing plays a critical role in shaping how Dun & Bradstreet's solutions are understood, valued, and talked about in the market. This role sits within the Marketing organization and focuses on market insight, customer understanding, positioning, and narrative development, rather than pricing, packaging, or commercial go to market ownership.

This role partners closely with Product, Portfolio Marketing, Content, Demand Generation, Sales Enablement, and broader Marketing teams to challenge assumptions, elevate messaging quality, and ensure customer centric thinking is embedded across programs and communication.

Essential Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a deep subject matter and buyer expert for assigned solutions, industries, or use cases, building strong understanding of customer needs, buying motivations, pain points, and decision criteria.
  • Develop and continuously refine positioning frameworks, value propositions, and core narratives that articulate differentiated value in a clear, credible, and customer centric way.
  • Lead market, customer, and persona research (qualitative and quantitative), synthesizing insights into clear implications for messaging, content, and programs.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to Product, Portfolio Marketing, GTM, Product Excellence and Demand Generation-constructively challenging inputs, assumptions, and priorities to improve outcomes.
  • Translate complex product capabilities into clear, compelling, and audience relevant narratives, working in close alignment with Creative & Brand as well as External Communications teams to ensure consistency of voice, positioning, and storytelling across the buyer journey.
  • Partner with Sales Enablement to help customer facing teams understand buyer context, value articulation, and objection handling, without owning pricing or packaging.
  • Support launches and major initiatives by shaping the story and messaging, while execution and orchestration remain with GTM and demand teams.
  • Actively identify gaps, inconsistencies, or missed opportunities in how solutions are communicated and proactively propose improvements.
  • Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of messaging and content, using insights to iterate and raise the overall quality bar.
  • Present messaging, insights, and recommendations confidently to stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Perform writing, editing, and special project work as needed.

Essential Skills and/or Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in product marketing, portfolio marketing or strategic marketing within B2B environments.
  • Experience working with sales and marketing solutions (e.g., CRM, marketing automation, customer data, analytics, enablement platforms), with an understanding of how these tools are evaluated, positioned, and used by commercial teams.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills across multiple content formats, including SEO optimized digital content, with the ability to create compelling narratives and messaging frameworks for both executive and practitioner audiences.
  • Data- and performance-metrics-driven, with demonstrated experience using insights and analysis to inform decisions and turn complexity into clarity.
  • Experience self-publishing website content using Adobe Experience Manager is a strong plus.
  • Solid grounding in core marketing disciplines, including market research, positioning, segmentation, personal development, messaging, and storytelling.
  • Experience working in matrixed, cross-functional organizations, influencing outcomes without formal authority.
  • Confident and persuasive communicator with strong written and verbal skills and a clear point of view.
  • Comfortable acting as a constructive challenger-asking "why," identifying gaps, and pushing for stronger thinking.
  • Highly proactive and self-directed, anticipating needs, prioritizing by impact versus effort, and operating without constant direction.
  • Proven experience collaborating closely with Product, Sales, Content, and Demand teams.
  • Proficient with standard marketing and collaboration tools.
  • Hands-on exposure to sales workflows and marketing execution, enabling messaging and narratives grounded in real-world commercial use cases.
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools as part of the daily marketing workflow (e.g., research, insight synthesis, content drafting, analysis, ideation, optimization).
  • Strong understanding of how AI can augment marketing effectiveness and productivity, coupled with sound judgment around quality control, human oversight, and responsible use
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites Skills
  • Show an ownership mindset in everything you do; be a problem solver, be curious and be inspired to take action, be proactive, seek ways to collaborate and connect with people and teams in support of driving success.
  • Continuous growth mindset, keep learning through social experiences and relationships with stakeholders, experts, colleagues and mentors as well as widen and broaden your competencies through structural courses and programs.
  • Where applicable, fluency in English and languages relevant to the working market.
