Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As a Senior Product Manager for Wires & ACH at RBC Wealth Management, you will lead the evolution of our payment transfer capabilities within the high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) client ecosystem. Your mission will be to deliver a seamless, "private bank" product & digital experience for domestic and international wire transfers and ACH payments that integrate with the firm's total wealth management platform, enabling clients to manage their operational cash with the same sophistication as their investment portfolios.

What will you do?

Product Strategy & Vision
  • Define the multi-year roadmap for Wire and ACH products, prioritizing features that reduce friction in domestic and international money movement
  • Benchmark RBC's Wire and ACH capabilities against traditional competitors and fintech disruptors to ensure market-leading client experience
  • Advocate for "Total Wealth" visibility, ensuring clients can view and move cash across brokerage and banking accounts effortlessly through optimal payment methods

Execution & Feature Delivery
  • Lead modernization of domestic and international payment transfer capabilities (Fedwire, SWIFT, ACH)
  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle for both wire transfers and ACH payments, including initiation, validation, processing, and confirmation
  • Translate complex regulatory requirements (AML, KYC, OFAC) into intuitive solutions
  • Implement real-time transaction processing and balance updates, supporting a multi-billion dollar domestic & international payment volume
  • Drive automation and reduce manual intervention in Wire and ACH processing workflows
  • Optimize routing logic to recommend appropriate payment rails based on client needs, speed requirements, and cost efficiency

Stakeholder & Ecosystem Collaboration
  • Partner with Consumer Digital Product teams to leverage enterprise banking rails while customizing UI/UX for Wealth Management clients
  • Collaborate with Legal, Risk, and Compliance to ensure all Wire and ACH features meet stringent anti-money laundering standards
  • Work closely with Financial Advisors to ensure digital tools empower the advisor-client relationship rather than bypassing it
  • Coordinate with correspondent banks, ACH operators, and third-party vendors to optimize payment processing efficiency

Data & Performance Management
  • Define and track North Star metrics: Wire and ACH adoption rates, processing speed, error rates, and client satisfaction
  • Utilize client analytics to identify pain points in the payment transfer funnel and iterate on user experience
  • Monitor transaction volumes and performance against industry benchmarks
  • Drive continuous improvement through A/B testing, user feedback, and data-driven decision making

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 7+ years in Product Management, specifically within Wealth Management, Private Banking, or Consumer Digital Banking
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field
  • Deep understanding of payment rails (Fedwire, SWIFT, ACH) and the complete payment transfer lifecycle
  • Experience with account validation and verification processes
  • Experience working in an Agile environment, collaborating directly with engineering teams via JIRA to deploy APIs and microservices
  • Proven track record of delivering high-end digital experiences for HNW/UHNW clients
  • Exceptional ability to influence senior leadership (Director/MD levels) and present complex product trade-offs clearly
  • Strong knowledge of AML/KYC regulations and payment compliance requirements
  • Proficiency with wire transfer and ACH systems and payment processing platforms
  • Experience with API integration and microservices architecture
  • Knowledge of data analytics tools for tracking payment performance metrics
  • Understanding of security protocols for sensitive financial transactions

Nice-to-have

  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Experience with both Wire and ACH products, including comparative knowledge of use cases
  • Experience with account validation and verification methodologies (IAV, microdeposits, etc.)
  • Experience with international wire products and multi-currency transactions
  • Knowledge of treasury management services for high-net-worth business owners
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud or similar CRM ecosystems
  • Experience with real-time payment systems and digital banking platforms
  • Background in fraud detection and prevention systems
  • Understanding of correspondent banking relationships and international payment networks

What's in it for you?

We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper. We care about each other, reaching our potential, making a difference to our communities, and achieving success that is mutual.
  • A comprehensive Total Rewards Program include competitive compensation and flexible benefits, such as 401(k) program with company-matching contributions, health, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, and paid-time off.
