Full Job Description
About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager (servant leader) to join our agile software development team. Working with the VP of Product, the Director of Software and the Director of Data, (and occasionally the CTO), you will drive the strategic vision, development, and execution of an innovative software platform built to streamline the design of commercial grade sustainable energy projects. You will work closely with engineering (electrical, civil, structural, geotechnical), project management and commercial stakeholders to ensure successful product delivery.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Product Strategy: Working with the VP of Product (and occasionally the CTO) you will define and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap and make sure it is aligned with broader business goals.

  • Agile Backlog: You will create, prioritize, and manage the product backlog, ensuring user stories are clear and actionable, with excellent acceptance criteria, and aligned with sprint goals.

  • Collaboration: You will engage with internal stakeholders (engineering) to gather insights, define user stories, and ensure alignment. You will also work closely with the software engineering team which includes developers, QE, DevOps, and UX and build stakeholder relationships to ensure products built are exactly what is needed to reduce engineering toil, increase quality and market share.

  • Agile PO: Act as the Product owner in all agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, estimation, demos, retros, and daily stand-ups. Foster a culture of kaizen and always look to help the team unblock any issues that arise.

  • Management of Change: You will act as primary influencer and change agent with internal stakeholders from products Alpha stage deployment to General Availability, GA. Positive influence builder, capable of relating cross-functional stakeholders to the global business and affecting product excitement toward adoption.

  • Data: Leverage data and KPIs to drive improvements and product decisions.

  • Innovation: This role will keep abreast of new technologies and be an "AI Forward" thinker, not afraid to pilot new concepts, especially as it relates to agentic and generative AI. An Out-of-the-Box thinker comfortable prototyping new ideas and sharing those ideas with the development team.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager/Product Owner in an agile software environment.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university. Master's degree would be nice to have.
  • Proven track record of managing the full product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and ongoing feature releases.
  • Strong agile acumen, ideally in a Scrum environment. Familiar with software development and technical concepts and can build respect quickly with a strong and collaborative technical team.
  • Proficient in the use of agile product management tools such as Jira.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, high emotional intelligence, and an innate ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders (technical and non-technical alike).
  • Curious, lifelong learner who is also an "AI Forward" thinker. Not afraid to embrace new (and potentially disruptive technologies) to help drive gains in speed, quality, and/or efficiency.
