Full Job Description
FloQast's SAP integration is central to making FloQast the home base for accountants at SAP-running companies. You will own the product strategy and execution for that integration - ensuring FloQast workflows, playbooks, and products run cleanly on SAP data and processes. You will operate at the intersection of deep SAP technical knowledge and accounting domain expertise, working across Product, Engineering, customers, and GTM to drive adoption and expand FloQast's footprint in the SAP ecosystem.
**What You'll Do**
- **Define** and drive product functionality for FloQast's SAP integration, ensuring FloQast workflows, playbooks, and products are fully enabled by SAP financial data and processes.
>- **Own** the end-to-end integration design: connectivity patterns, data extraction methods (ABAP, oData, BTP), and how SAP financial data maps into FloQast's canonical models.
>- **Navigate** SAP deployment models - On-Premise, Private Cloud, Public Cloud (RISE/GROW), and HEC - to ensure FloQast's integration strategy covers the full range of customer environments.
>- **Translate** SAP FI-CO process knowledge (period-end close, subledger reconciliation, journal entries, controlling) into FloQast product requirements and integration designs.
>- **Partner** with Engineering on technical implementation, acting as the product authority on SAP data structures, configuration dependencies, and integration constraints.
>- **Engage** directly with customers and partners to understand SAP-specific needs, validate integration designs, and support successful deployments.
>- **Support** GTM teams with the FloQast-SAP value story: what the integration enables, how it accelerates close, and where it delivers measurable value for SAP-running accounting teams.
>- **Drive** adoption of FloQast workflows, playbooks, and products in SAP environments - with success measured by processes running on data from SAP ERP.
**What You'll Bring**
- 5+ years working in an SAP FI-CO environment supporting financial close activities, in a techno-functional, product, consulting, or solution advisory capacity.
- Deep understanding of SAP FI-CO: general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, asset accounting, cost center accounting, and the period-end close cycle.
- Hands-on familiarity with SAP technical architecture: ABAP, oData services, and SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform).
- Understanding of SAP deployment models - On-Premise, Private Cloud, Public Cloud (RISE/GROW), and HEC - and how each affects integration approach and data availability.
- Strong grasp of accounting processes, close cadences, and financial controls as they operate within SAP environments.
- Ability to engage at both the technical and business level: credible with Engineering on integration architecture, and persuasive with customers on process value.
- Equal comfort as a hands-on builder (requirements, integration design, specs) and a storyteller (GTM narrative, customer conversations, partner alignment).
- Experience with financial close software products such as FloQast, BlackLine, or similar.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA migration patterns and the differences in data model and integration approach versus ECC6.
- East Coast US location preferred for coverage overlap with EMEA customers and partners.
- Product management experience in a B2B SaaS company, or experience working closely with product teams to translate SAP domain expertise into product direction.
