Full Job Description
The Role

As a Senior Product Manager at Everlaw, you'll own the strategy and roadmap for how we ingest, collect, and process data at scale from third-party sources, spanning cloud connectors, raw and structured uploads, and backend pipelines. As data environments evolve, you will ensure our platform seamlessly connects to new third-party APIs and ingests emerging formats while keeping pipelines reliable, performant, and secure.

This is a full-time, exempt position based in our Oakland, CA office with a hybrid work schedule: in office M/W/Th with the option to work from home on Tu/Fr.
What you'll do
  • Define and execute the strategy and roadmap for data collection and processing initiatives, including third-party data connectors, governance connectors, and upload pipelines.
  • Partner with design, user research, and engineering to bring impactful, user focused features to market.
  • Partner with engineering to navigate third-party platform dependencies, shifting API requirements, vendor documentation gaps, and evolving compliance standards.
  • Own product strategy around ingesting emerging data formats and evaluate how data pipeline capabilities can be exposed to third-party AI agents and Model Context Protocol (MCP) tooling.
  • Drive performance improvements across connector and upload workflows, focusing on ingestion speed, error reporting, debugging tools, and system reliability.
  • Engage with users, executive stakeholders, design, engineering, and customer-facing teams to align product initiatives with customer needs and company vision.
  • Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure data collection and processing practices meet rigorous security and regulatory standards.
About You
  • You have at least 5 years of experience as a product manager, with a focus on B2B platforms, data architecture, or data pipelines (e.g., ETL, ingestion, syncs).
  • You've successfully launched and managed products with significant third-party API dependencies and vendor integrations.
  • You navigate ambiguity comfortably when requirements, vendor documentation, or external specs change outside your control.
  • You've conducted customer interviews and synthesized complex insights into clear, actionable product requirements.
  • You communicate clearly and persuasively with executives, engineering teams, and cross-functional peers to align priorities and inspire action.
  • You have experience with data pipelines, integrations, or connector-style architecture (e.g., ETL, ingestions, sync).
  • Exposure to AI or agentic tooling standards (e.g., MCP).
  • You are authorized to work in the United States. Please note that at this time, Everlaw is not sponsoring U.S. employment visas for this role.
Bonus points
  • Experience with data governance, compliance, or privacy-related product work.
  • Familiarity with data analysis platforms like Heap or Looker for product insights.
  • Experience in the legal technology industry or familiarity with proprietary legal data formats.

Think you're missing some of the skills and are hesitant to apply? We do not believe in the 'perfect' candidate and encourage you to apply if you feel you can bring value to our team. We often revisit candidates who may have applied for a different role if something comes up that's a better fit.
