What is the opportunity?

The Chief Data Office's Enterprise Client Data team is undertaking an enterprise-wide initiative to enable and accelerate the build and deployment of a centralized Enterprise Client Data Master (CDM) in partnership with RBC's business platforms. In this role, a successful candidate will act as a 'center of gravity' for agile delivery squads, establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, and contribute to the overall vision and backlog of the Enterprise Client Data team.

What will you do?
  • Contribute to the Enterprise Client Data vision & build consensus on a prioritized delivery roadmap with alignment to strategic initiatives
  • Build strong relationships with platform data subject matter experts and work with end users to create requirements
  • Influence partners in Privacy, Legal, Risk & Compliance to drive our product forward
  • Communicate key progress to leadership, outlining delivery squad capacity and required capabilities as the team develops new features
  • Build a compelling business case that articulates the Enterprise Client Data Master's value and competitive advantage
  • Drive awareness and adoption with key stakeholders through targeted communication to identify high-value data sharing opportunities
  • Explore industry best practices and implement where appropriate


What do you need to succeed?

Must have:
  • 7+ years of experience in data product management, enterprise data platforms, or business analytics roles
  • Strong story-telling acumen to create powerful, detailed insights that support data-driven decision making
  • Track record of creating demand and executive sponsorship for cross-functional initiatives with a proven track record of driving adoption
  • Strong analytical and business acumen with ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Ability to work with agile methodology including setting product vision, building and maintaining backlogs, constructing release plans and defining product performance metrics


Nice-to-have:
  • Strong knowledge of Master Data Management best practices
  • Experience with Client data management, governance and compliance frameworks in data environments
  • A strong understanding of technology and/or financial services industry.
  • An understanding of the regulatory and privacy landscape as it pertains to client data
