The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are seeking a strategic Senior Product Manager - Construction Technology (Stratus) to own the vision, roadmap, and delivery of key Line of Business (LOB) and/or Corporate Service Unit (CSU) products. This role leads product strategy and execution for the Stratus platform, supporting fabrication and Off-Site Manufacturing (OSM) operations across McKinstry.

You will partner cross-functionally to prioritize and deliver enhancements, govern the product backlog, and drive scalable, reliable solutions aligned with business goals. This role requires close collaboration with fabrication teams and hands-on support of a production-critical platform.

The ideal candidate is a customer-focused, data-driven leader who thrives in ambiguity, influences stakeholders, and turns strategy into high-impact execution.

This role is based in Seattle, WA and operates on a hybrid work schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Product Management Leadership
  • Takes the lead and owns a major, large-scale initiative.
  • Develop and maintain LOB/CSU portfolio product roadmaps.
  • Lead the development and adoption of LOB/CSU existing technology solutions and future needs, industry trends, and competitive threats.
  • Define enhancements and features with LOB/CSU stakeholders.
  • Manage product life cycle (including modifications, upgrades and maintenance) through end of life.
  • Develop and maintain business cases.
  • Produce well written documentation including Product Requirement Documents (PRD), user acceptance test plans and training material.
  • Create product deliverables such as wireframes, prototypes and specifications.
  • Partner with IT, consultants, and software vendors to specify, deliver, and maintain solutions and integrations.
  • Facilitate product design and user focus sessions.
  • Lead coordination and documentation of project activities including product introduction meetings, design review meetings, and user acceptance testing.
  • Lead training sessions to ensure user and LOB/CSU success.
  • Work with Technology Partners to successfully deliver projects including user stories, functional specifications and testing.
  • Manage and follow-up on client requests.
  • Deliver accurate, high quality and timely results in product administrative support.
  • Contribute actively to LOB/CSU innovation by gathering and maintaining internal and external client insight.
  • Partner with LOB/CSUs, technology, and enterprise organizations to enable cross functional collaboration.
  • Serve as a steward of McKinstry technology solutions.

People Leadership
  • Provide coaching and mentorship; may manage assigned staff over time.
  • Support performance planning and feedback as needed.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


What You Need To Succeed at McKinstry:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 6-10 years in Product Management or Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (A/E/C) industry technology solutions.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business and partner pain points, translating needs into technology-driven solutions using the Stratus platform.
  • Build strong, collaborative stakeholder relationships while applying product management expertise to deploy scalable solutions that improve user experience and performance.
  • Comfortable with collaborating with personnel to observe workflows, identify inefficiencies, recommend improvements, and operate safely in an industrial environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools, including SharePoint, MS Project, and Power BI, is a plus.
  • Experience with the Stratus platform is highly desired.
  • Curiosity and interest in technology solutions to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies preferred.
  • Demonstrate and embody McKinstry's core values in daily work, decision-making, and collaboration.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% as needed.

The pay range for this position is $99,270 - $169,900 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
