Job SummaryAllvue Systems is seeking a driven, execution-focused Senior Product Manager to lead our CLO Product team. This is a high-velocity leadership role for a seasoned product professional with deep collateralized loan obligation expertise who thrives in fast-paced agile environments and delivers with speed and precision. Reporting to the Head of Product, this individual will manage multiple Product Manager teams, set and drive PI planning across the CLO product portfolio, and advance the product vision within Allvue's credit platform while owning critical relationships across CLO managers, clients, engineering, and cross-functional teams.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in CLO structures, leveraged loan markets, and the full CLO lifecycle, including warehouse management, collateral acquisition, compliance testing, payment waterfalls, reinvestment, resets, refinancings, and investor reporting. This person will combine strong product leadership with hands-on domain credibility, proven experience developing Product Managers, and the ability to translate complex deal, operational, and client requirements into scalable software solutions.
ResponsibilitiesCLO Product Leadership & Agile Execution:- Lead and manage multiple Product Manager teams and their supporting engineering pods across the CLO product portfolio, setting clear priorities, coaching performance, and fostering a high-accountability, fast-moving agile culture.
- Own end-to-end backlog strategy for CLO capabilities, including deal setup, warehouse and collateral management, trading, compliance testing, waterfalls, reporting, and external integrations, with a focus on measurable client and business impact.
- Own and facilitate Program Increment (PI) planning across CLO product teams, aligning team objectives to the CLO product strategy, surfacing dependencies, and driving consensus on commitments with engineering leadership.
- Coach Product Managers on sprint planning, release sequencing, backlog hygiene, and the effective decomposition of complex CLO workflows and indenture-driven requirements.
- Manage execution trade-offs across the CLO product portfolio, balancing quality, scope, timeline, client commitments, and platform scalability across multiple teams.
- Ensure release readiness across all owned teams through proactive coordination with engineering, QA, infrastructure, design, implementation, and client-facing teams.
CLO Client Leadership & Market Engagement:
- Serve as the senior product point of contact and executive escalation path for CLO managers and other CLO market participants using Allvue's platform.
- Lead client calls, discovery sessions, and on-site visits to understand CLO workflows, validate functionality, and demonstrate new product capabilities.
- Drive a structured, proactive outreach program across the CLO client base, including regular check-ins, roadmap briefings, user forums, and feedback sessions, to identify emerging needs before they become escalations.
- Translate client feedback, market conventions, deal-document requirements, and operational pain points into actionable product improvements and clear roadmap priorities.
- Communicate CLO product updates, upcoming releases, roadmap direction, and known workflow impacts to clients in a clear and timely manner.
People Management & Team Development:- Directly manage multiple Product Manager teams within the CLO product line, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, career development, and goal-setting.
- Establish consistent product management practices and CLO domain standards across teams, ensuring a shared delivery playbook while preserving ownership of specialized workflow areas.
- Mentor Product Managers on CLO market concepts, stakeholder management, technical decomposition, and client communication, building domain depth and succession strength.
- Allocate headcount and workload across teams based on CLO roadmap priorities, client commitments, escalation volume, and workflow complexity.
Internal Collaboration & Stakeholder Alignment:- Partner with Engineering, Design, Infrastructure, Customer Experience, Implementation, and Sales leadership to align delivery timelines and manage dependencies across CLO product teams.
- Serve as the functional authority for CLO workflows in planning forums, executive reviews, sales engagements, and cross-team working sessions.
- Collaborate with adjacent credit, accounting, data, reporting, and integration product teams to align shared platform components and delivery sequencing.
- Present, demonstrate, and document CLO product functionality for internal stakeholders, prospects, and external client audiences.
CLO Domain Expertise & Solution Design:- Apply deep knowledge of CLO structures and leveraged loan investment workflows, including warehouses, collateral eligibility, concentration limits, OC and IC tests, reinvestment criteria, payment waterfalls, resets, refinancings, and reporting.
- Translate complex indenture provisions, manager operating models, and client requirements into structured, technically feasible, configurable, and scalable product solutions.
- Anticipate downstream impacts across trading, compliance, accounting, cash management, reporting, data, and third-party integrations when making product and sequencing decisions.
- Resolve complex CLO workflow, data, calculation, and integration challenges in close collaboration with engineering and client-facing teams.
Impact Measurement & Continuous Improvement:- Define success metrics for CLO capabilities, including adoption, processing efficiency, calculation accuracy, release quality, and client satisfaction.
- Drive iterative improvements based on usage data, client adoption, support trends, market developments, and qualitative feedback.
RequirementsRequired:- Minimum 8 years of product management, product ownership, or closely related experience within CLOs, structured credit, leveraged finance, investment management technology, or financial technology, including at least 2 years leading Product Managers.
- Demonstrated CLO expertise, including a strong understanding of deal structures, leveraged loan collateral, liability tranches, coverage tests, concentration limits, reinvestment rules, payment waterfalls, and lifecycle events.
- Proven track record of delivering complex financial products in a high-velocity, agile, cross-functional environment.
- Strong client-facing skills with experience working directly with CLO managers, investment teams, operations professionals, or other structured credit market participants.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and manage multiple Product Managers and their teams across a complex product domain.
- Exceptional cross-functional leadership and the ability to communicate complex CLO concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Hands-on experience leading PI planning across multiple teams and running structured, proactive client outreach programs.
Preferred:- Direct experience at a CLO manager, leveraged loan asset manager, trustee, collateral administrator, structured credit technology provider, or related market participant.
- Experience with CLO compliance, waterfall calculations, portfolio optimization, accounting, investor reporting, or trustee and market-data integrations.
- Experience working directly with engineering teams in a scaled agile or SAFe environment.
Technical Skills:- Backlog & Agile Planning Tools - Advanced (Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent)
- SQL and Data Analysis - Intermediate to Advanced
- Financial Data and Integration Concepts - Intermediate to Advanced (APIs, data mapping, calculation validation, and third-party feeds)
Education/Certifications- Bachelor's degree required; Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in CLOs, structured credit, product ownership, product management, or financial technology, including direct people-management experience.
- Demonstrated full software development lifecycle delivery experience for complex financial workflows.
- MBA, CFA, or relevant structured credit credentials are a plus.
