About Alia by Dotdigital: Alia is a popup and engagement platform built for Shopify and e-commerce brands helping, merchants grow their email and SMS lists and drive more revenue from their existing traffic. We were bootstrapped to $10M+ ARR and 4,000+ merchant customers before being acquired by Dotdigital, a global marketing automation leader. We're now scaling as part of a bigger platform, with the speed and hustle of a startup team.

About the Role

We are launching a new product line that extends what Alia does for e-commerce brands. The product line will sit in the ads, media buying, and data space, and it is still at the earliest stage. There is no existing product, roadmap, or defined scope yet, so you will shape what it becomes from the ground up.

This role owns the product line from zero to one. You will define what we build, validate it with merchants, ship the first version, and grow it into a meaningful part of the business. You will have access to more than 4,500 merchants, a Customer Success team that knows them well, and the distribution of Dotdigital's broader platform.

This is one of Alia's first two product management hires. There is no product operations team and no established product process. You will help build the product function from the ground up, including how we plan, prioritize, write requirements, and measure results. If you want a mature product organization with defined rituals, this is not the right role. If you want to shape how product works at a fast-growing company, it is.

You will report directly to our Chief Customer Officer. That gives you close access to our largest customers, the teams that serve them, and company leadership.

What you'll do
  • Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the new product line, from initial concept through launch and scale.
  • Lead customer discovery with merchants across segments to validate the problem, the solution, and willingness to pay.
  • Define the first version, set launch criteria, and make clear scope tradeoffs to get product into merchants' hands quickly.
  • Establish and own the success metrics for the product line, including adoption, activation, retention, and revenue, and report on them to leadership.
  • Partner with Marketing and Revenue on positioning, pricing, packaging, and go-to-market for launch.
  • Work with Customer Success, Support, and Onboarding to design how merchants adopt and are supported on the new product, and use their feedback to drive iteration.
  • Write clear product requirements and work with Engineering and Design from discovery through launch.
  • Determine how the new product line connects to Alia's existing products and to Dotdigital's platform.
  • Help define how product management works at Alia, including planning, prioritization, and requirements processes.
What we're looking for
  • 6+ years of product management experience in B2B eCommerce SaaS. Specifically, in the ads, media buying, and data/personalization verticals.
  • Experience as an early PM at a startup or launching a new product inside an established company.
  • Experience taking a new product from zero to one, including discovery, first version definition, launch, and early growth.
  • A track record of shipping products that generated measurable adoption and revenue.
  • Strong commercial judgment, with hands-on experience in pricing, packaging, or go-to-market.
  • Strong analytical skills. You are comfortable pulling your own data, defining metrics, and building a case with numbers.
  • The ability to make sound decisions with incomplete information and to change course quickly when the data says so.
  • The ability to work across functions and earn trust with Engineering, Design, and customer-facing teams.
  • Comfort operating without established process, and the judgment to build only as much process as the team needs.
  • Clear, direct written and verbal communication.
Why join us

We're a bootstrapped startup that grew to $13M+ ARR without taking VC money, and we were recently acquired, giving the team stability and resources while keeping the startup speed and culture intact. Knowing that revenue from agency partners represents about 60%+ of our revenue, you'd be building the retention motion for a partner program that already has hundreds of active agency relationships. That's real, largely untapped upside, and you'd own the strategy for unlocking it, working closely with the Director of Agency Partnerships as they hand you the reins on day-to-day partner management.
