Senior Product Manager - AEC Visualization Solutions

About the Role

Location: East Coast US or Canada, remote with occasional travel

Autodesk's visualization technology empowers AEC customers to communicate ideas, validate designs, and make critical decisions across the entire design and make lifecycle. From early concept through construction and beyond, our tools help bring some of the world's most complex projects to life.

We are looking for an experienced and highly collaborative Product Manager to join our Visualization Solutions web team, someone who is passionate about building exceptional user experiences and thrives at the intersection of cutting-edge technology, complex customer workflows, and platform strategy.

In this role, you will play a key role in defining the future of interactive visualization at Autodesk, building the shared visualization platform that powers experiences throughout the Autodesk ecosystem. You'll operate across both platform and product, identifying the highest-impact opportunities and driving solutions from strategy through execution.

You will work closely with teams across Autodesk to create visualization capabilities that can serve multiple products and workflows while delivering meaningful outcomes for solutions such as Forma. Success requires navigating technical complexity, diverse stakeholder needs, and evolving customer expectations to create experiences that feel seamless, performant, and differentiated.

What You'll Do

• Own and evolve product roadmap for key areas of Autodesk's visualization solutions, balancing long-term platform investments with near-term product and customer needs

• Identify and prioritize high-impact opportunities by combining customer insight, product data, market context, technical possibilities, and Autodesk strategy

• Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives end-to-end: from opportunity discovery and product definition through delivery, adoption, measurement, and iteration

• Partner deeply with engineering and design leaders to define solutions for technically complex visualization challenges, making thoughtful tradeoffs across user experience, performance, scalability, and time to market

• Drive alignment across Autodesk product teams, influencing priorities and enabling adoption of shared visualization capabilities across multiple products and workflows

• Translate complex and sometimes ambiguous customer needs into clear product strategies, requirements, and decisions that teams can act on

• Engage directly with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to develop a deep understanding of workflows, validate direction, and uncover emerging opportunities

• Define success metrics and use qualitative and quantitative signals to evaluate outcomes, inform prioritization, and continuously improve the product

• Navigate dependencies and competing priorities across teams, proactively identifying risks and creating clarity where ownership or direction is ambiguous

What You'll Bring

• 7+ years of product management experience, ideally in visualization, graphics, Contech, platform products, or other technically complex domains

• Demonstrated experience owning meaningful product areas and shaping strategy and roadmaps in environments with significant ambiguity and technical complexity

• Strong product judgment and the ability to connect customer problems, technical opportunities, and business priorities into a clear product direction

• A track record of leading complex cross-functional initiatives and delivering measurable customer and business outcomes

• Experience partnering closely with engineering and design teams on complex systems, platforms, APIs, or shared technology capabilities

• Ability to think at both the platform and product level, balancing reusable capabilities with the needs of specific customer experiences

• Strong influence and stakeholder management skills, with experience aligning teams and leaders across organizational boundaries without relying on direct authority

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics, articulate tradeoffs, and create alignment around difficult decisions

• Strong analytical skills and experience defining and using success metrics to inform product decisions

• A collaborative, low-ego mindset and comfort working across distributed, global, and highly cross-functional teams

Nice to Have

• Experience with 3D visualization, CAD/BIM, real-time graphics, rendering, game engines, or related technologies

• Experience building platform capabilities that are consumed by multiple products or development teams

• Background in AEC, construction technology, or Design & Make industries

• Experience working with large-scale or high-performance graphical applications and complex 3D data

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $128,000 and $228,690. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
