Full Job Description
Lead mobile design strategy for Gallup products that enhance people's work and lives.

As a senior product designer at Gallup, you will lead the design and development of Gallup's mobile experience across our strengths and engagement products, including CliftonStrengths® and Gallup Access, translating complex business needs, data models and user requirements into intuitive, scalable and accessible mobile interfaces for iOS® and Android®. You will partner closely with product, engineering and content teams to deliver cohesive, user-centered solutions that reflect the clarity and impact of the science behind them.

In this role, you'll apply advanced systems thinking, interaction design and visual craft to ship high-quality mobile work in alignment with product release cycles, while measuring and demonstrating the business impact of your design decisions.

What You'll Do
  • Define and execute end-to-end mobile design solutions, including user flows, wireframes, prototypes and interface designs, that address business objectives and user needs across iOS and Android
  • Ensure designs reflect system-level logic, data integrity and alignment with platform architecture, applying accessibility, usability and responsive design throughout while honoring native platform conventions
  • Design for the realities of mobile, such as gestures, notifications, offline states, performance constraints and small-screen information hierarchy
  • Partner with product managers, engineers and content strategists, participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement and design reviews to align timelines, priorities and deliverables
  • Work closely with senior scientists to make complex research and data accessible, intuitive and actionable for users
  • Develop and track metrics and key performance indicators that quantify the impact of design on mobile engagement, satisfaction, retention and revenue, using outcomes to inform prioritization
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of Gallup's design system, extending it with mobile-specific components and patterns while ensuring visual and functional consistency across platforms
  • Refine designs based on usability testing, analytics and stakeholder feedback, communicating decisions with rationale grounded in data and business outcomes
  • Provide guidance and feedback to other designers, modeling best practices in documentation, collaboration and agile participation
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, design methodologies and UX/UI trends, recommending tools and process improvements, including AI-enabled workflows, that enhance quality and delivery speed

What Makes You Stand Out
  • Mobile craft: You have deep fluency in iOS and Android platform conventions and know when to follow them and when to intentionally diverge.
  • Systems thinking: You design with system-level logic, ensuring data integrity and alignment with platform architecture across mobile platforms.
  • Velocity within an operating model: You maintain quality and adaptability within agile delivery rhythms, meeting release milestones without compromising craft.
  • Outcome-oriented mindset: You connect creative solutions to measurable business value and prioritize getting meaningful work done as workflows evolve.
  • Clarity through design: You distill technical, data-rich or scientific content into intuitive user experiences that exceed expectations.
  • Clear communication: You explain design decisions effectively, with rationale grounded in data, usability and business outcomes.

What You Need
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in human-computer interaction, product design, interaction design, computer science, cognitive science or related field, or equivalent experience, required
  • At least six years of experience designing enterprise and consumer-facing digital products, including at least three years designing native or cross-platform mobile apps, required
  • At least two years working at a senior design level required
  • Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end mobile product experiences on iOS and Android required
  • Working knowledge of Apple's Human Interface Guidelines, Material Design and mobile accessibility standards required
  • Experience contributing to and working within design systems required
  • Portfolio showcasing end-to-end shipped mobile product work and measurable product impact required
  • Proficiency in Figma and modern component-based design workflows required
  • Experience experimenting with AI tools to enhance product design, productivity and workflows required
  • Experience providing guidance and feedback to other designers required
  • A commitment to working on-site at Gallup's San Francisco office at least three days per week required
  • Eligibility to work in the United States required; this position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship
