The ideal candidate is a modern multimedia creator with a strong editorial voice, deep understanding of digital culture, and the ability to shape narratives that travel. You should be equally comfortable cutting long-form features and short-form social pieces, and able to turn raw ideas into polished, fan-first experiences.

A passion for hockey is essential. You should understand the players, storylines, history, and culture - and be excited to translate that knowledge into content that feels fresh, relevant, and unmistakably NHL.

  • Ideate, develop, and produce athlete-driven, lifestyle-focused, and behind-the-scenes storytelling that connects with fans
  • Edit and deliver promos, trailers, weekly programming, sponsored content, and core NHL Digital features
  • Edit and produce on-site content at major NHL tentpole events (Winter Classic, All-Star, Stadium Series, etc.)
  • Create and edit static/motion graphics for use in long and short-form features
  • Use data and platform insights to shape and evolve the NHL's YouTube strategy
  • Demonstrate strong hockey knowledge - players, teams, storylines, and league culture
  • Maintain digital fluency - current trends, platform behaviors, and optimization strategies
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced, reactive environment where priorities and deadlines shift quickly
  • Create content that feels authentically NHL and aligns with the league's core creative standards
