Full Job Description
Location: Corporate Development

Purpose: The Senior Manager of Procurement drives end-to-end procurement of equipment, signage, furniture, fixtures and furnishings across the company's airport restaurant portfolio in partnership with the Design & Construction team. This role is central to the successful execution of new buildouts, remodels, upgrades, and refurbishments across North America as they manage $20-25m in annual purchasing while ensuring vendor performance, supply chain continuity, and on-time delivery across a complex, multi-brand capital project environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Manages end-to-end procurement operations across US and Canadian capital projects, overseeing approximately $20M to $25M in annual purchasing and acting as primary point of contact for procurement on all capital projects
  • Develops, evaluates, and maintains a vendor portfolio that meets company specifications, cost targets, and delivery requirements; negotiates volume-based pricing and national account contracts while attending factory trips, vendor meetings and trade shows to stay current on market conditions
  • Manages and maintains purchase order contracts in USGN with priority vendors to meet legal requirements; orders, schedules, and expedites Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E) buyouts meeting delivery goals of projects
  • Maintains WMDBE supplier participation percentages in support of the company's minority and small business goals
  • Manages relationships with internal and external brand partners to coordinate the required equipment, furniture, and artifacts to ensure all project schedules are maintained
  • Reads project drawings to generate accurate FF&E orders; analyzes category and product performance and communicates cost increases due to raw material and market changes to management
  • Establishes vendor and supplier logistics and freight management procedures for assigned commodities; leverages deep knowledge of FF&E to find creative solutions to lead time delays, product shortages, and other supply chain disruptions
  • Provides guidance to consultant designers regarding best practices and preferred specifications to support design intent and procurement efficiency
  • Integrates quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, interdependencies, and opportunities across the procurement function
  • Partners with Finance and project stakeholders to track spending against budget, forecast procurement costs, and support capital project financial reporting

Reporting Relationship: The Senior Manager of Procurement reports to the Director of Procurement

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment :

  • Education and Experience: The combination of education and professional experience must exceed 6 years:
    • In a technical role: Requires 6 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or capital project management within commercial real estate, multi-unit restaurant, retail, or hospitality construction environments
      • A bachelor's degree in a program related to the functional area can count for 2 of the 6-year requirement
    • In the industry: 3+ years of Hospitality, F&B and/or Retail experience preferred
  • Specialized training:
    • Training or certification in procurement, supply chain management, or construction preferred
    • Training that leads to strong understanding of FF&E product categories, commercial construction schedules, and vendor contract administration
  • Specialized Skillset/Competencies/Traits:
    • Experience reading and interpreting legal agreements and construction documents with ability to conceptually estimate project costs
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong working knowledge of Excel is essential
    • Experience with People Soft and project management software strongly preferred
    • Able to communicate and interact confidently with a diverse set of stakeholders including leadership, brand partners, external vendors, consultant designers, and field operations teams; must be comfortable presenting procurement updates, cost impacts, and supply chain risks to decision makers
    • Strong negotiation skills with ability to drive cost savings without compromising quality or delivery
    • Abie to problem-solve creatively under supply chain pressure
    • Business acumen and also has the mindset required to understand the long-term implications of procurement compliance and to advance the organization's goals
    • Demonstrated history of understanding the needs of the business, stakeholders, the employee population and individual circumstances
    • Demonstrated history of creating and maintaining positive work environments
  • Location/Travel:
    • This role is based at the North America Support Center in Bethesda, MD
    • This role requires up to 20% travel
