Full Job Description

The Senior Procurement Manager is responsible for leading strategic sourcing, contract management, and supplier development within the Aerospace industry. This role drives supply chain resiliency, cost reduction, supplier performance, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance while supporting commercial, military, and government aerospace programs.

You will report to the Global Procurement Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Supply Chain Management

  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies for aerospace materials, components, and commodities.

  • Lead supplier qualification, second-source development, and supply readiness initiatives.

  • Conduct market analysis, cost modeling, RFQ/RFP processes, and source selection activities.

  • Manage domestic and international sourcing, outsourcing, and insourcing decisions.

  • Support new product development and product launch activities.

Contract Management & Commercial Leadership

  • Negotiate and execute long-term supplier agreements and strategic contracts.

  • Lead contract strategy development, pricing analysis, and commercial negotiations.

  • Present sourcing recommendations and business cases to executive leadership.

  • Ensure contract compliance and risk mitigation.

Customer & Stakeholder Support

  • Serve as procurement representative on cross-functional aerospace teams.

  • Provide executive-level communication regarding supply chain risks and mitigation plans.

  • Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews with customers and senior leadership.

  • Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Program Management.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, Export Control requirements, and procurement policies.

  • Support government reporting and Small Business Program requirements.

  • Provide procurement policy interpretation and audit support.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and mentor procurement professionals and cross-functional teams.

  • Drive continuous improvement using data analytics and performance metrics.

  • Manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in a related discipline.

  • 5 or more years of proven expertise in strategic sourcing and contract negotiation; Aerospace Industry experience would be advantageous.

  • Strong background in supplier relationship management and supply chain risk mitigation.

  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data analytics to drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement.

  • Experience leading complex projects and coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

  • Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and ITAR regulations, with a commitment to maintaining compliance in regulated environments.

  • Excellent executive communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proven leadership capabilities with experience developing, mentoring, and guiding high-performing teams.
