A Day in the LifeAs a Senior Process Engineer supporting Injection Molding operations in Danvers, MA, you will play a critical role in driving manufacturing excellence, process innovation, and continuous improvement within a highly regulated medical device environment.
This position offers the opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, Supplier Quality, and Operations teams to develop and optimize robust molding processes that support the delivery of life-changing technologies. You'll help shape scalable, efficient, and compliant manufacturing solutions while influencing the future of advanced medical device production.

Responsibilities may include the following:- Provide technical and sustaining engineering support for injection molding manufacturing operations
- Recommend and implement equipment, tooling, and process modifications to improve product quality, manufacturing efficiency, cycle time, and production yield
- Lead the innovation, development, optimization, and transfer of new manufacturing processes into production
- Support feasibility assessments, process development activities, material selection, equipment evaluation, and tooling/fixture implementation
- Integrate equipment and material capabilities to achieve process performance targets and product specifications
- Collaborate closely with Product Development and Design Engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and process compatibility throughout the product lifecycle
- Review product development requirements to assess manufacturing methods, project timelines, and associated costs
- Develop and maintain manufacturing processes utilizing Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies and measurement systems analysis
- Analyze manufacturing data and conduct statistical evaluations to support process improvements, validation activities, and operational decision-making
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, compliance, delivery, and cost performance
- Lead or support equipment installation, qualification, validation, and process characterization activities
- Ensure manufacturing processes, procedures, and documentation remain compliant with applicable regulatory and quality system requirements
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing challenges
- Support a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and operational excellence
Must Have: Minimum Requirements- Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 4 years related experience OR
- Advanced Degree with 2 years of related work experience OR
- PhD with 0 years relevant experience.
Nice to Have: Preferred Requirements - Experience supporting injection molding processes within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of scientific molding principles, process optimization, and troubleshooting techniques
- Experience with validation activities including IQ/OQ/PQ and process characterization
- Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC), data analysis, and measurement system methodologies
- Experience working within regulated industries such as medical device, pharmaceutical, aerospace, or automotive manufacturing
- Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment, tooling, materials, and process development practices
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or DMAIC methodologies
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. A7 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$103,200.00 - $154,800.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
