Job Title:Senior Process Engineer
Job Description:The Role: Our site in Aurora is seeking a Process Development Engineer to join our team!
What You'll Do:- Understand and drive new and improved process developments from concept to commercialization, including key process parameters, process control strategy, and equipment
- Development activities will focus on batch and continuous processing with a goal of bring continuous improvements to ongoing and new operations.
- Work with internal stakeholders to understand development needs and opportunities for improvement.
- Evaluate and optimize existing processes
- Manage improvements within a strict change control environment to prevent disruption of products or service to sensitive electronic materials customers.
- Establish key process parameters for controlling process and product performance
- Create technical presentations to be shared within R&D, internal stakeholders, and suppliers
- Collaborate in a diverse team that includes chemists, engineers, customers representatives, quality specialists, and production engineers
What We Seek: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or Physics
- Demonstrated technical capabilities in the area of process design, process scale-up, and unit operations in the chemical industry (or similar)
- Demonstrated independence in successfully completing projects, either individually or within collaborations or research groups
- Proven experience in planning, executing, and documenting a set of activities or tasks in a timely manner
- Demonstrated effective communication, both written and verbally, within core research group and to an outside audience
- Participation in safety initiatives and have a strong dedication to a safety-first culture
Outstanding Candidates Will Have: - Six Sigma GreenBelt or Blackbelt with knowledge and application of statistical tools like DOE analysis and programs to analyze results (e.g., Minitab, JMP, etc.)
- Unit Operations experience in mixing, separation/filtration technologies, and fluid dynamics
- Engineering experience with equipment (pumps, mixers, etc.) sizing and scaling in addition to in-line instrumentation and control of critical process parameters
- Strong communication skills - able to easily communicate with peers, research associates, and non-technical collaborators both written and in presentation formats
- Demonstrated collaboration with team members of different levels or career stages

Compensation: $95,500-$120,000, dependent on candidate skillset and experience.
