Senior Process Design Engineer within our Engineering Division for a
REMOTE WORK role. This position will require a growth mindset for expanding existing offerings to clients in the Chemicals and Oil & Gas industries. This position will report to the Process Engineering Design Manager.
Essential Functions- Develop typical process engineering deliverables including (but not limited to) Heat and Material Balances, PFDs, P&IDs, equipment lists and preliminary equipment datasheets
- Perform hydraulic calculations
- Prepare, review and/or check engineering calculations, designs, drawings and other documents on projects as required
- Provide enhanced customer support as a technical liaison, and support organizational business development of new and expansion of existing business opportunities
- Accelerate growth of all process safety functions that Orbital can offer to clients.
- Supervise and review the preparation of engineering proposals including scopes of work, project schedules and cost estimates
- Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the department. Periodically assess availability of required discipline industry codes and standards and maintain and upgrade technical standards/specifications when required.
- Promote Orbital's safety culture through active safety engagements and compliance audits of Orbital's safety requirements, including but not limited to, employee training and site visit checklists

- 10 years of process design experience, and well-rounded expertise in heavy industrial engineering projects such as chemicals, downstream / midstream O&G and power generation
- Familiarity with process simulation software and engineering electronic tools.
- Candidate should have thorough understanding and aptitude in the use of current computer software including general MS Office products and design & business enterprise software
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills
- Must excel in working in a team environment
- Occasional domestic travel will be required
Preferred Requirement: - Professional Engineer (PE) license
This position requires the ability to pass a post-offer drug (including marijuana) and alcohol test in compliance with Federal regulations and is also subject to random testing as a condition of continued employment.Location Note:This is a remote position.
