We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Principal Systems Engineer - Modeling, Simulation & Analysis Engineer supporting one of our premier programs within Raytheon, an RTX Business. In this role, you will provide technical leadership across integrated product teams consisting of Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC), Signal Processing, and missile- and sensor-level Performance Simulations. You will lead the development of high-fidelity performance simulations, evaluate complex system performance, support new business initiatives, and help drive technology roadmaps supporting next-generation missile systems. The work is on-site in Aurora, CO.

What You Will Do
• Lead the development of high-fidelity simulations and models supporting missile design, performance assessment, mission analysis, and flight test activities
• Lead the development and implementation of modeling and simulation solutions, conduct technical trade studies, and evaluate system and subsystem performance
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams while collaborating across Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC), Signal Processing, Software, and Systems Engineering disciplines
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to execute simulation activities in support of program schedules and technical milestones
• Develop innovative technical approaches and provide engineering leadership throughout the product lifecycle from concept development through production and field support
• Serve as a technical authority during customer engagements, technical reviews, design reviews, and program milestones
• Support technology roadmap development, proposal efforts, and strategic new business initiatives

Qualifications You Must Have
• Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM discipline and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience
• Experience leading the development of modeling and simulation solutions for complex aerospace, missile, defense, or other high-performance engineering systems
• Experience applying object-oriented software design and programming using C/C++ and developing engineering analysis tools using Python and/or MATLAB
• Experience developing high-fidelity models and simulations of physical systems and applying statistical analysis to evaluate engineering solutions
• Active and transferable DoD Secret U.S. government-issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain Special Program Access. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer
• Advanced Degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related STEM discipline
• Experience serving as a technical lead or subject matter expert on complex aerospace or defense programs
• Experience developing Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC), signal processing, or missile performance algorithms and simulations
• Experience with control hardware design, hardware/software integration, and verification activities
• Experience modeling flight dynamics or other complex physical systems
• Experience creating and presenting technical briefings to senior leadership and government customers
• Experience using UNIX/Linux operating systems and Software Configuration Management tools such as Git
• Experience supporting technology roadmaps, Independent Research & Development (IRAD), and proposal efforts for new business pursuits
• Coursework or professional experience in radar, signal and image processing, EO/IR environment models, digital communications, probability and statistics, linear algebra, estimation theory, optimal control, system architecture, inertial navigation, guidance theory, or related technical disciplines

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
