  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports for all studies conducted.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time while adhering to quality and budget standards.
  • Identify training needs and communicate them to the Engineering Manager.

Overview

Conduct IBR Dynamic Modeling studies which are particularly related to existing and future NERC reliability standards. This position will have specific emphasis placed on IBR plant dynamic modeling for NERC PRC-029-1 compliance.

Responsibilities

How you can make an impact:
  • Perform detailed bulk power system studies using various power system software such as PSCAD and PSSE.
  • Conduct IBR modeling: steady state, short circuit and dynamic.
  • Perform various compliance technical assessments on IBR facility rating, protection coordination, ride through assessment.
  • Process, generate and maintain data as required for other engineering related studies.
  • Prepare technical study reports for all studies performed.
  • Take responsibility for the timely completion of projects assigned while meeting all project quality and budget objectives.
  • Identify training needs and present them to the Engineering Manager as needed.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
