OVERVIEW

Akumen is seeking a Senior Power Platform/SharePoint Developer with extensive experience in developing, customizing, and maintaining SharePoint solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SharePoint Online, SharePoint Designer, and the Power Platform, and will be experienced in designing and implementing custom workflows, site designs, and data solutions. This role requires excellent collaboration skills to work with business stakeholders, project managers, and cross-functional teams to create efficient and effective solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and Development:
  • Lead the design, customization, and deployment of SharePoint sites, including both SharePoint Online and On-Premises environments.
  • Develop custom workflows and forms using Power Automate, PowerApps, and SharePoint Designer.
  • Build data-driven solutions with Power BI for reporting and dashboard creation.
  • Provide guidance on the use of modern SharePoint site features and web parts.

SharePoint Administration:
  • Support SharePoint administration tasks, including user permissions, site collection management, and metadata configuration.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper configuration and optimization of SharePoint environments.

Collaboration and Training:
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, and Business Analysts to define technical and process requirements for SharePoint projects.
  • Lead the creation of user training materials and provide end-user training sessions on SharePoint best practices and functionality.

Power Platform Solutions:
  • Develop and manage Power Platform solutions such as PowerApps (for custom forms) and Power Automate (for workflow automation).
  • Integrate Power Platform solutions with SharePoint for seamless data flow and process automation.

Agile Practices:
  • Actively participate in Agile Scrum activities, including sprint planning, task estimation, daily standups, and retrospectives.
  • Work in an Agile environment, concurrently leading development efforts for multiple projects while meeting deadlines.

Troubleshooting and Support:
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for SharePoint sites and related applications.
  • Address and resolve user-reported issues related to SharePoint functionality and workflows.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • A minimum of (5) years experience developing in SharePoint, MS365 and Power Platform.
  • Expertise in SharePoint Online, SharePoint Designer, and Power Platform solutions.
  • Experience with SharePoint site creation, branding, and customization using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Proven experience in developing custom workflows, forms, and reports using SharePoint Designer, Power Automate, Power BI, and InfoPath.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 Suite, including SharePoint Online, Power Platform, and associated development tools.
  • Strong skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and PowerShell.
  • Experience in integrating third-party applications and services with SharePoint.
  • Experience with version control and source code management tools (e.g., Git, TFS).

Desired Skills:
  • Microsoft Certified Power Platform Developer and/or Microsoft 365 Certified.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

CLEARANCE
  • Active Secret clearance (or ability to obtain clearance) required.
